Working as piping engineer of Visakha Ship Building limited in Hindustan shipyard at Visakhapatnam, India from june 2007 to till date

JOB DESCRIPTION
Fabrication, erection, testing and commissioning of pipe lines in engine room and hull structure of 30000&53000 dead weight bulk carrier ships
Already I have worked two 300000 dwt and two 53000 dwt bulk carriers which were delivered to the owner may 2008,april 2009,march2010 feb 2011 respectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Looking after fabrication of pipes its diameter varies from NW15 to NW1110 including main engine exhaust line. After fabrication checking of dimensions by using relevant spool drawing and Testing of welded joints to satisfy ship yard standards as well classification society standards
..
Looking after erection of pipes on board of the ship ,which have been already fabricated. Studying the lay out drawing and the system which the pipe belongs.doing planning, where to start and giving the relevant drawings to fitters and monitoring the work .checking dimensions as per design and verifying the joints and supports as per standards.once routing get over checking all support welding and checking valves direction according to the system drawing.

Making all pipe lines for quality control survey and making sure that there has no remarks.Testing also carrying out by using first air according to the system pressure and water.making sure that no leakages in flanged joints as well welded joints. Commissioning also doing by different systems ,allowing the fluid or air to pass through the pipes by switch on the machinery and checking the pipe lines whether it is satisfy the system temperature and pressure.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Proficient in reading drawing either plan or isometric
Good knowledge about all piping system using in ship.
Proficient in on board fabrication of pipe lines by making mitered elbows
Good knowledge about the machineries which has been using either engine room or hull structure..
