Applications are invited from eligible male candidates ordinarily resident of the State of Assam for filling up sanctioned vacant posts in the ranks shown below;

1.Name of the post : Station Officer
No. of post : 4
Scale of Pay :(PB-2) Rs. 5200/- to Rs. 20200/- and Grade Pay Rs. 3300/-
Age as on 01-01-2012 : 20 to 24 years
Educational qualification : Minimum Educational Qualification is B.Sc. (Science) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from recognized Board/Institution. However, additional weightage during the interview will be given to the candidates having knowledge of swimming and diving.

2. Name of the post : Sub- Officer

Scale of Pay : (PB-2) Rs. 5200/- to Rs. 20200/- and Grade Pay Rs. 2400/-
Age as on 01-01-2012 : 20 to 24 years
Educational qualification : Minimum Educational Qualification is H.Sc. (Science) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from recognized Board/Institution. However, additional weightage during the interview will be given to the candidates having knowledge of swimming and diving.

Educational qualification : Minimum Educational Qualification is H.Sc. (Science) pass or equivalent examination from recognized Board/Institution. However, additional weightage during the interview will be given to the candidates having knowledge of swimming and diving.

4. Name of the post : Emergency Rescuer

Scale of Pay : (PB-2) Rs. 5200/- to Rs. 20200/- and Grade Pay Rs. 2100/-
Age as on 01-01-2012 : 18 to 25 years
Educational qualification : Minimum Educational Qualification is H.Sc. (Science) pass or equivalent examination from recognized Board/Institution. However, additional weightage during the interview will be given to the candidates having knowledge of swimming and diving.

Physical Standards for (All categories ) :
a. Height :- The minimum height for a candidate shall be 160 cm (5’ – 4”) but in case of candidates belonging to ST – (H) and ST – (P) the minimum height shall be 157.5 cm (5’ – 3”).
b. Chest :-77.7 cm (31”) in normal position and 82.5cm (33”) in expansion.
