Job Description
This leading foreign exchange company maintains relationships with in excess of 50 correspondent banks around the world and can provide drafts and electronic fund transfers in up to 30 currencies.
The Foreign Exchange Dealer is responsible for managing FX exposure and maintaining balances on deposit in the correspondent banks to ensure foreign exchange position; negotiating prices at which foreign exchanges shall be purchased and sold, based on supply, demand and currency volatility.
Areas of Contact
The Foreign Exchange Dealer reports to the Dealing Manager and liaises with other internal departments as required. The Foreign Exchange Dealer also liaises with correspondent banks and other counterparties.
Responsibilities
* Monitor FX positions and cover exposures and funding requirements as per the company’s policies
* Execute FX Spot deals
* Monitor international bank market rates to determine foreign exchange rates for the retail business
* Keep up to date with market information and monitoring trends in currency pairings
* Assist the Back Office department with settlement queries as required
* Adhere to anti-money laundering policies and procedures
* Be fully aware and deal in accordance with company policies and procedures

Desired Candidate Profile
* Must have at least 10 years experience in FX trading
* Will be able to demonstrate excellent inter-personal communication skills
* Must possess a natural ability for working with numbers
* Basic IT skills required, for example Word, Excel, Email, Internet
* Must have experience with using Reuters dealing system
