    Projects undertaken at Pearl Academy of Fashion
    Western Women’s wear : Theme- Graffiti art
    Garment is inspired from the theme graffiti art done on the walls of London. It is an art work done on the walls through spray paint. It is done by unknown artist who makes his as Bansky in the streets of London. The theme comprised of black, white and red color. The texturing on the garments is done on the basis of theme. It basically the color and the bricks texture incorporated in the garment.
    Indian wear : Theme- Mughal art
    Design is inspired by the Mughal paintings of mughal period. Key words were taken from the ritu kumars collection as well as from the mughal paintings. Combined combination of lehenga and choli for women’s wear is made.
    Men’s wear : Theme- Framing vision
    Design is worked out on the basis of old memories of a person that he tries to frame out. Nostalgic, reflection and confusion are the key words for the theme. We in group of 5 students created a brand for our collection. The USP of our brand is 100% cotton and the fabric used in the garment is purely cotton.
    Evening wear : Theme- Black and White
    A complete concept of pinned (safety pin) dress without any stitch on the fabric is developed on the theme black & white. The project comprises of two dress one a cocktail short dress and a long evening gown. The silhouette and technique is referenced from Basque designer Cristobal Balenciaga, whose couture garments have a rich elegant look. The concept of taking safety pin as a design element is to give the dress a couture look.
    Sportswear : Figure skating – Theme - Rose
    Figure skating is a western winter games which include knitted and woven short length dress which makes the skater comfortable and easier for skater to skate on the ice. We in a group of 5 members chosen a theme rose for our collection. For the embellishment we have chosen rhinestone and Swarovski. A halter neck bustier attached to handkerchief skirt in red give a look of blooming rose.

    Sourced the fabric for the flowers and get it done on the t-shirt and tank top, firstly the samples of flowers are made, and then the rough body for the samples and then got the patterns made, the khakaa for the flowers were made by the karigars. Then the final flower work is done on the knit t-shirt and the tank top.
    Lefties (Bheriska group)
    In the Norwest office of pearl group. We arranged samples for the meeting. The buyer selected 9 samples that is to be developed, some “as is” and some are with few changes. We made the excel chart or line sheet for the reference. Then we go for fabric sourcing by the runners in the company, we got some printed cotton fabrics and shiflee fabric from Nehru place.
    BSK(American Dreams and Urban Casaba)
    For the meeting with BSK buyer. We sketched out 25-25 designs according to the theme boards, trim board and fabric board send by the buyer . hence we sourced for the fabric and trim for the same.
