- Worked as a TV Technician with M/S Polestar Electronics ( Standard TV ) during the period 01-07-1980 to 17-08-81. The job responsibilities were pretesting and alignment of Televison sets on the Production floor of the factory, Fault finding and rectification of the defect during quality control failures.
- Senior Technician With M/S Orson Video ( Seepz ) Mumbai during the period 19-08-81 to 01-01-85. The job responsibilities were quality control of Hindi pre recorded Video cassettes in Betacam and VHS format which were recorded using broadcast quality video and audio equipment. These cassettes were later exported. Maintenance of all the video and audio equipment in the plant. This included preventive maintenance on a regular basis and breakdown maintenance as and when systems failed.
- Assistant Engineer with M/S Home Video ( India ) Pvt. Ltd. during the period 25-02-85 to 29-05-87. The job responsibilities were recording of Hindi Pre–recorded feature films from U-Matic High band format onto the VHS format, Quality control of these tapes for audio and video discrepancies during recording, Maintenance of the audio and video equipment used which also included preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Assistant Engineer with M/S Garware Plastics and Polyester (Mumbai) at their video duplication facility for the period 06-06-87 to 23-07-93. The job responsibilities were handling a team of eight personnel to look after the in house maintenance of all the audio/video recording equipment in the plant as well as supervision of the quality control facilty for Pre-Recorded VHS tapes recorded from High band U-matic and Analog Betacam format.
- I was also selected for training at the Rank Cintel Telecine facility in UK for a period of 25 days commencing from 4th July 1988, to facilitate the in house maintenance of the telecine machine which was purchased for use at the facility in Mumbai. Was Also responsible for the installation of this machine at the facility after completion of the training
- Worked as a Chief Engineer with M/S Sahara India Pvt Ltd at their Studio facility in Mumbai during the period 12-08-93 to 02-04-97. The job responsibilities were setting up and installation of the studio facility comprising Betacam edit suites, Pinnacle Graphics Work Stations, Audio Studios using Solid State Logic Mixing consoles.,4 camera studio facilty complete with CCU, Grass ValleyVideo Switcher, Sound Craft Audio mixing consoles, New Tec Talk back system, Automated lighting and dimmer consoles for the studio lighting etc.
The complete maintenance of this total in house facility was looked after a team of qualified engineers headed by me.Also looked after the maintenance of internal Siemens EPABX system and also the computer network
- Worked as Senior Manager Technical & Operations with M/S Sony Entertainment Television during the period 02-05-97 to 21-09-06.
My Job Profile was to look after the daily operations and maintenance of the Post Production facility which included Edit suites, Graphics dept, Quality control dept, Tape Library, Airconditioning Systems, UPS Systems, Computer Network systems, Audio Studios, ENG Camera Equipment, Studios, Inventory of spares for maintenance of all the networks and periodic upgradation of the same. Installation of multiple camera set ups for shooting of serials and major events like the Miss India pageant, Filmfare Awards, Uplinking and transmission of these major events to the broadcast facility at Singapore, Quality control of recorded material for telecast, Daily dispatch of recorded material for telecast, etc. Interaction with Producers for timely delivery and good technical quality of recorded material for telecast according to the technical parameters prescribed.
