The Government of Andhra Pradesh has established Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) in 2008 to cater to the educational needs of the meritorious rural youth of Andhra Pradesh with three constituent institutes one each at Basar (Adilabad Dt), Nuzvid (Krishna Dt), Rajiv Knowledge Valley (Kadapa Dt).

RGUKT invites applications in the prescribed format from qualified and eligible candidates for filling up the Director positions for its three constituent institutes one each at Basar (Adilabad Dist), Nuzvid (Krishna Dist) and RK Valley (YSR Dist). The Director is a statutory office and is the Chief Executive and Academic Officer of the constituent Institute. The initial term of appointment will be for a period of three years, and may be extended for another period of three years.

Eligibility : Candidates with doctoral degree in Engineering/Science (preferably Engineering), first class or equivalent at the preceding degree having outstanding academic record and relevant administrative experience in the grade of Professor (ability to work with Faculty, Students and Staff), ability to manage the range of activities related to technical education, 5-10 years of experience as Professor at a University/IIT/NIT /Central University or in an equivalent position at a research/academic administrative organization can apply.

Scale of Pay : Rs.37,400 – Rs.67,000 with AGP of Rs. 10,000/- with a special allowance of Rs.4,000/- per month subject to the condition that the sum total of pay in the Pay Band, the Academic Grade Pay and the Special Allowance shall not exceed Rs.80,000/-.

I would like to ask that what type of experience required for director post and kindly tell me about the job profile.

Experience :
Relevant administrative experience in the grade of Professor (ability to work with Faculty, Students and Staff), ability to manage the range of activities related to technical education, 5 -10 years of experience as Professor at a University/IIT/NIT /Central University or in an equivalent position at a research/academic administrative organization

Nature of duties:
** The Director shall be the Chief Executive Officer and Academic Officer of the constituent institute.
** The Director shall exercise general supervision and control over the affairs of the Institute
** He will ensure implementation of the decisions of the authorities of the institute and responsible for imparting instructions and maintenance of discipline in the institute
