Previously, worked as a demonstrator in the department of physiology (in 2007 for 6 months) at Pt BD Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak.
Currently my work concerns with carrying out OPD duties at least 2 days per week, where I examine and make diagnosis and prescribe treatment to the patient. Follow-up of previously registered patients.
Emergency Duties : At least 24 hours (12+12 hr) a week where I need to mange new critically ill patients. Administering them with initial treatment, stabilization and admitting them to the concerned unit.
Ward duties : Rest of the days of the week, I work as a senior resident in pediatrics and neonatology.
NICU : at least 3 months per year. Critically sick neonates (majority are Extremely Low Birth Weight Babies viz ~800 gramer) are managed assiduously in three nurseries with capacity of 36 beds in total. I have fairly good saving rates even better than the rates of highly sophisticated and equipped NICUs of the world!
PICU : at least 2 months per yr. Duties are concerns with management of critically ill children (especially requiring ventilator support). One of the best PICUs of the country, Our PICU is most advanced and has a saving rate approaching perfection.
Academic activities : An academic session consists of at least 1 hour/day discussion on the topics related to field of pediatrics in form of seminars, case studies, journal clubs or lectures.
Teaching : Teaching activities are concerned with clinical classes and bed side case discussion for pediatrics post graduates, undergraduate (MBBS), Bachelor of physiotherapy, Nursing (BSc/MSc), pharmacy students and students of other courses.
