All India Business Innovation contest 2013

All India Business Innovation Contest (AIBIC) is first competition open to all current full time MBA or PGDBM students in any recognized college in India.

AIBIC has been designed with help of top innovation experts teaching in A level US universities. All companies are looking for employees who bring innovation in any job they do. Innovation does not need decades of experience , what it needs is a mind set to look at any problem from a new angle and try new solutions.

AIBIC has been designed such that by thinking about starting a new company in one of 14 defined verticals, participants start to think about innovation in identifying business needs, innovation in sales and marketing strategy, innovation in product development and innovation in customer service.

our goal is that by participating in the Contest each and every student learns about innovation and becomes a attractive candidate for his/her first job and some of them do take a plunge and start new companies.

Contest will require multiple submissions by students working in groups of up to 4. Students will get an opportunity to participate in discussions about innovation and get mentorship from industry experts in preparing their innovation plans. Final submissions will be due on March 31st.

All submissions will be judged based on their participating level in whole process and innovations proposed by participants in the business plan. Jury will consist of successful entrepreneurs, senior management from top companies in India and US and Venture Capitalists.

If you are an eligible candidate for this contest, register yourself, invite your college mates as team member and submit your 'executive summary'. You need to frequently update the progress of business plan. You can make network with industry experts as your mentor.

Winners will be announced by college, by state in categories and at all India level.

Participating in the contest :
** AIBIC contest is free and open for students pursuing MBA/PGDM.

** Each team will consist of minimum one and maximum five members. Participants will have to submit the executive summary at a given time. Participants can get assistance from any number of mentors for their business plan. Mentors can be alumnus, industry professionals or any general person.

** A team can change its members any time before the registration process gets closed. A participant can be a part of only one team. All the members of a team should be from the same college.

** If a participating team is finding it difficult to get a business idea, they can take the help of their mentor(s)

Each team can submit only one executive summary in any of the following 14 business verticals.
** Education
** Retail
** E commerce
** Social media
** IT/ITES
** KPO/BPO
** Agri business
** Manufacturing
** Healthcare
** Hospitality
** Export & Import
** Real estate
** Travel and Tourism
** Media/Dotcom

Categories :
Participants have to select any one out of four categories (business function) for your preferred business verticals.
** Identifying business needs
** Marketing Strategy
** Sales Strategy
** Customer Service Strategy

Terms & Conditions of Participation :
** Taking part in this contest is official when the Registration Form on the AIBIC 2013 website, has been filled, sent in and participation has been confirmed. With this registration, contest rules are fully accepted.

** Each participant obtains his/her own space on the specially designed AIBIC2013 website, where he/she or team can publish their executive summary and personal details. After registration, the participant receives a confirmation via e-mail.

** The final submission date will be provided in due course of the contest. All items of the executive summary must be completed by the given date. Only completed executive summary will be inspected by the jury. Considering the international character of the user contest, executive summary should be preferably submitted in English.

** As the entire handling of the business plan happens through the AIBIC 2013 website, no documents will be exchanged by mail or any other media without mutual agreement in advance.

Time Lines :
March 1st 2013 : Last date for submission of Executive summary.
March 31st 2013 : Result announcement for 1st phase.
May 31st 2013 : Final date for business plan and 5 min video file submission.
Jun 30st 2013 : Result announcement for 2nd phase .
Aug 31st 2013 : Final presentation and winner's announcement.

Registration :
All India Business Innovation contest (AIBIC) is an excellent platform to portrait your business idea or vision in a most favorable way and get an opportunity to observe by well-known industrialists and business experts in your preferred business verticals. Please ensure your have read the rules and regulations before you start filling the registration form. Only one registration per students is allowed.

Completion of registration will be followed by three step process.
1) Register/Login with Siliconindia
2) General details submission and
3) Personal details submission. First two steps are mandatory to register. Third step is optional (allow to skip/complete later)
