InoVIT - 2013 "South India Level Science contest for School Children"
VIT University, established in 1984, offers more than 17 Bachelor’s and 32 Master’s Programmes in addition to Research Degrees in Engineering, Management, Science and Languages. Main Objectives :
1. To stimulate interest in science activities among students, and provide opportunities for them to develop initiative and creativity in areas of interest in science.
2. To provide an outlet for students to apply their technical and scientific knowledge and skill from various science disciplines, towards the benefit and betterment of society and mankind a whole.
3. To recognize and honour the students for their excellence in the sciences
Events :
1. Working Model :
Eligibility and Instructions :
1. Students between 9th and 12th standard can participate.
2. A maximum of THREE students in a team will be permitted.
3. Original Work will only accepted.
4. An abstract, not more than 250 words should be submitted for entering in the qualifying round.
Topics : Clean Energy System, Working Models for Environmental Challenges, Sensor System, Multi functional wind mill, GPS based system, Robotics, Wireless, Telecommunication, Automobiles, Information Technology, and Microprocessor & Controller.
Prizes : 1st Prize: Rs. 50,000, 2nd Prize: Rs. 25,000, 3rd Prize: Rs. 15,000
2.Poster Presentation :
Eligibilty and Instructions :
1. Students between 9th and 12th standard can participate.
2. A maximum of THREE students in a team will be permitted.
3. Original Work will only accepted.
4. An abstract, not more than 250 words should be submitted for entering in the qualifying round.
5. Poster should be displayed for the preliminary and final rounds.
Topics :Integrated farming, Renewable energy and ultimate solution for Power crisis, Energy saving solutions, Radiation from cell phones, Mechanism of fever, Green Chemistry = Wealth, Pollution = Economic Disaster, World you see after 2020, and Water and food for all.
Prizes : 1st Prize: Rs. 35,000, 2nd Prize: Rs. 20,000, 3rd Prize: Rs. 10,000
3. Idea Presentation :
Eligibility and Instructions :
1. Students between 9th and 12th standard can participate.
2. A maximum of TWO students in a team will be permitted.
3. Preference will be given for ideas that are novel/original/creative and provide cost-effective solutions.
4. An abstract, not more than 250 words should be submitted for entering in the qualifying round.
Topics :Conservation of energy & alternative fuels, Global Warming, Bioremediation, Green Chemistry, Food Processing Issues, Malnutrition, Environmental / Human Health, Agricultural Practices, Food Security, Poverty Alleviation.
Prizes : 1st Prize: Rs. 35,000, 2nd Prize: Rs. 20,000, 3rd Prize: Rs. 10,000
4. Quiz :
Eligibilty and Instructions :
1. Students between 9th and 12th standard can participate.
2. A maximum of THREE students in a team will be permitted.
3. Questions will be from the syllabus of 9th to 12th std.
4. Rules will be announced just before the commencement of Quiz.
5. Qualifying and Preliminary rounds will be conducted in the respective State centers along with the Preliminary Round of other events.
6. Short listed teams from the Preliminary Round will be called for the final round at VIT University.
Prizes : 1st Prize: Rs.40,000, 2nd Prize: Rs.25,000, 3rd Prize: Rs.15,000

General Instructions :
1. ONLY students from Std. 9th to Std. 12th will be allowed to participate in all events.
2. ONLINE REGISTRATION for all the events can be done at VIT website
(OR) Xerox copies of the enclosed registration form can be completed and sent to the Organizing Secretary on or before 10th November 2012. No sport entry will be permitted.
3. Only the selected students from the Qualifying Round will be permitted to participate in the Preliminary Round. No students will be permitted to participate more than one event.
4. Qualified participants from the Preliminary Round should pay the registration fee of Rs.100 in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of “InoVIT 2013, VIT University” payable at Vellore. Students from the same school can send the registration fee in a single Demand Draft. Please send the DD on or before 20th Nov 2012.

** Result declaration of the Qualifying Round : 15th Nov 2012
** Last Date of sending the Registration fee : 20th Nov 2012
** Preliminary Round in the selected Centers : 24th Nov 2012
** Final Round of InoVIT 2013 : 1st week of January 2013

I am a student who has taken part in this competition and I would like to know how I can know the results of the qualifying round.
I am not able to see the result.
I HAVE SENT MY ABSTRACT FOR THE QUALIFYING ROUND. HOW CAN I KNOW THE RESULT?
