Job Description
1. Participate as a member of the Disaster Assessment and Response Team (DART) to assist in the delivery of WSPA Disaster Alliance emergency veterinary response in Asia and, as required by DMOD support WSPA DM response operations worldwide.
2. Assist the evaluation of WSPA supported emergency disaster interventions in Asia and, where directed by DMOD, elsewhere; catalogue and report lessons learned
3. Assist the supervising veterinarian in DM related research and programme development
4. Assist with the delivery of WSPA DM operations in Asia as directed by DSVO including: risk reduction and partner preparedness training interventions, and emergency response and recovery operations.
5. Participate in professional development training appropriate to disaster management

Desired Candidate Profile
The Disaster Operations Veterinary Intern (DOVI) will assist with programme development and research with relevance to veterinary Disaster Management (DM) and Risk Reduction (RR).
The DOVI will be available to participate as a member of the Disaster Assessment and Response Team (DART) in the delivery of veterinary emergency response field work as required in Asia.
