PSCST immediately requires the following positions purely on contractual basis.

1.Name of the post : Assistant Editor for monthly Punjabi Science Magazine
No. of post : One (1)
Salary : Rs.16,000/- + 15% HRA + 12% EPF.
Qualifications : Graduation with atleast 10+2 in science stream. The candidate should have passed Punjabi upto Matriculation and should have flair of writing articles/booklets etc. for magazines, newspapers in Punjabi.
Job Requirement : The selected candidate would be responsible for publication of monthly Punjabi Science Magazine Nirantar Soach. This includes editing, writing of articles, translation, marketing of magazine and timely publication/ dispatch of the magazine.
Age : Upto 60 years.

2.Name of the post : Project Associate(Popularization of Science)
No. of post : One
Pay : Rs. 12,000 + 15% HRA +12% EPF per month (Consolidated)
Essential Qualifications : M.Sc in any branch of Science with working knowledge of Internet & Computers and Punjabi.
Age : Upto 37 years.
Job requirements : Preparation of science communication & popularization projects for inculcating scientific temper and improvement of science education, implementation of projects in the State of Punjab, monitoring, compilation of reports, communication with state and central agencies etc. The candidate must be willing to travel for organizing/monitoring of short term workshops, meetings in Punjab.
Duration : The selected candidate will be appointed initially for a period of one year, which may or may not be extended.

3.Name of the post : Project Associate(Popularization of Science)
No. of post : One
Pay : Rs.12,000 + 15% HRA +12% EPF per month (Consolidated)
Age : Upto 37 years
Essential Qualifications : M.Sc/MCA with knowledge of oracle and web development.
Job Requirement : Compilation of data, preparation & presentation of reports , designing of document on ‘History of Science & Technology in Punjab, , regular updation and maintenance of website.
Duration : The selected candidate will be appointed initially for a period of one year, which may or may not be extended.

4.Name of the post : Project Associate (Patent Information Centre)
No. of post : One
Essential Qualification : 1st class M.Sc. in any branch of Science (including Agricultural Science) or B.Tech. Knowledge of IPRs and Computer Application (especially) data retrieval system).
Desirable Qualification : Trained in data/IIPR search. M.Tech./ M.Phil/ Ph.D. Cleared Patent Agent Exam conducted by Govt. of India.
Job Requirement : Conducting Patent searches through IPR databases (on line and off line), organizing patent awareness workshops and faculty training camps, development of curricula and awareness materials in English and Punjabi.
Salary : 12,000 + 15% HRA (Consolidated for the posts at Sr. 1 to 3)

5.Name of the post : Steno-typist
No. of post : One (1)
Qualification & Experience : The applicant should be graduate from a recognized university. Should have minimum English shorthand speed of 80 w.p.m. with typing speed pf 40 w.p.m. The candidate having knowledge of Punjabi shorthand with typing. will be preferred. Should have knowledge of office routine, filling of papers, drafting routine letters and working on computer (MS Word, Power Point, Excel & Internet. Short listed eligible candidates will have to appear in the shorthand and computer typing test to qualify for the interview.
Salary : Rs.10,000 + 20% HRA

Age : Upto 38 years for the above posts.

Tenure : The appointments for the above posts are on contractual basis for one year (likely to be extended based on performance).

Fee : Demand draft of Rs.100/- drawn in favour of PSCST payable at Chandigarh
