Job Description
-Liasoning with departments of Interest ( both non-government & government)

Company Profile
Jaipur Rugs Foundation (JRF) is a not for profit entity working for the socio-economic development of weavers. Through its initiatives, thousands of weavers are receiving skill enhancement training and financial assistance for an independent and prosperous future in rug weaving. This would be directing the flow of benefits towards the artisans behind the story and eliminating the middlemen thus getting them out of the vicious cycle of exploitation. By promotion of new technology and designs as per the need of end users and facilitating welfare schemes like microfinance and health insurance, it will bring more work to the artisans. Focused cause related marketing has also led to increased orders for rugs internationally and to meet the rising demand a strategic thinking has gone to increase the number of artisans from 25,000 to 50,000 in the next 5 years. This incremental growth will fructify through spreading and nurturing the art of carpet weaving in those areas, where migration to urban areas is very high due to less agricultural land holding. In this inclusive model working for the empowerment of women has a strong influence not only on their economic life (income and earning potential) but also their personal life (self-esteem and influence on family decisions).
JRF is in the process of implementing its five year plan which is dedicated to the Indian hand-knotted rug weaving industry with a mission to give it its rightful place in the world and to bestow the benefit and recognition to its apt owner, the Indian weaver. To implement this ambitious plan, JRF is looking for an External Engagement Officer.

- Compelled Government of Rajasthan in securing free & compulsory education for all in letter and spirit through effective intervention and issuing necessary guidelines in this regard by Rajasthan State Human Rights Commission.
- Took part in many raids & rescue operation for releasing child/bonded child labours in Rajasthan and other places.
- Succeed into getting the due payments of Rs. 23,920/- of daily wages of 16 lower cast poor migrant labourers from Chhattishgarh trough intervention of labour Deptt.
- Took part into Major events like Global March against Child Labour (1998), Education March (shiksha Yatra) (2001), 2nd World Children Congress, New Delhi (2006) etc.
- Have good relation with major NGOs, Print & Electronic Media, and various Govt. Departments and reputed personalities of Jaipur.
- Have written some street plays and poems on various social issues.
