    Job Description
    Position Brief
    The position of Program Associate (PA) is a new position and offers an opportunity of working closely with the Country Director (CD) of PCI, who is accountable for the PCI Mission in India. The objective of the position of Program Associate is to provide professional support to the Country Director to ensure that the CD’s office provides leadership and contributes optimally to the achievement of the Mission’s goals.

    The incumbent in the position of Program Associate would be required to possess above par intellectual, interpersonal and managerial capacities to assist the CD in his mandate of providing strategic leadership in the areas of organizational development, program and operations management to the mission.

    Some of the specialized tasks managed by the position would require supporting the CD (and if required leading initiatives) on documentation, proposal development, program and organizational planning. The role would also involve supporting the CD in the areas of advocacy and networking with government, donors and other PVO’s. Additionally, this position also has the responsibility of supporting the CD on internal and external communication and coordination with the International offices, PCI India senior management team and other senior staff of the state/ project offices to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the Country Director’s office.

    - A postgraduate degree in Management/ Rural Development / Social work/ Economics/ Community Health
    - Two years of working experience in development sector with strong analytical and conceptual skills. Field experience would be an advantage.
