    The applications are invited through Registered Post in the prescribed application form from the eligible candidates for the recruitment of Heavy Vehicle Contract /Daily Wages Basis Drivers in various depots of Haryana Roadways for 1513 vacancies as per details in the table given below:-

    Age Limit :
    The applicant shall not be less than 18 years and more than 40 years of age. Applicants belonging to SC/BC category shall be given age relaxation as per Haryana Government Instructions/Rules. For Ex-servicemen applicants relaxation upto continuous military service added by three years is permissible.

    Eligibility & Essential Qualification :
    An applicant must (a) be a citizen of India, (b) be of good moral character (c) be of sound health (d) not have more than one spouse living (e) be matriculate with Hindi or Sanskrit from a recognized Board/University and should be holding a valid Transport Vehicle Driving Licence along with a minimum of 2 years’ experience of driving a Heavy Goods Vehicle including proficiency in driving a Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicle or 10 years experience of driving a vehicle in the Armed Forces.

    Application Fee :
    The applicants belonging to General category are required to attach a demand draft of `200/- as application processing fee. The candidates of SC/BC candidates of Haryana only are required to attach a demand draft of ` 50/- as application processing fee.

    The demand draft should be issued by any Nationalized / Scheduled Bank in favour of the Director General, State Transport, Haryana, Chandigarh. The applicants shall write his name, father’s name, name of the post and advertisement No. on the backside of the demand draft. The demand draft issued after the date of advertisement will only be accepted.

    Selection Process :
    The selection process shall comprise of two stages :- (i) Driving Proficiency Test and (ii) Intereview. The Driving Proficiency Test shall inter alia include DUG Test, ZIGZAG/8-Shape Test (both forward & reverse), Road Test etc. Those applicants who qualify all the stages of Driving Proficiency Test shall be called for interview. Final category-wise selection list shall be based on the marks obtained on account of experience, educational qualifications as well as in the interview.

    The applicant shall clearly write the name of the post on the envelope and send it through registered post to the office of concerned General Manager of Haryana Roadways on or before the last date i.e. 10.12.2012 (upto 5.00 PM).

    I would like to ask that what is the required age for the post of Heavy Vehicle Contract.

    The applicant should not be less than 18 years or more than 40 years of age on 10.12.2012.
