Subject : Second IWPC Short Story Competition

New Delhi, September -- : The Indian Women's Press Corps, a premier professional organisation for women journalists, is pleased to announce its SECOND SHORT STORY COMPETITION for women.

The theme of the competition is "Crossroads" and the length of the story should not exceed 3,000 words.

The three best entries will be awarded with cash prizes of Rs 25,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 each.

The competition will be open to all women writers with the exception of office bearers and managing committee members of the IWPC and their immediate families.

Each entry should be an original, unpublished work which is not under consideration for any other competition at the time of submission of the short story.

The entries should be submitted in English, and IWPC reserves the right to publish a selection of the entries in an anthology.

Two copies of each entry should be submitted, typewritten in double space. The name, address and phone number of the author should be written on a separate sheet of paper.

Entries for the short story competition should be sent in a sealed envelope addressed to

5 Windsor Place,
New Delhi- 110001.

The last day for submission of entries is December 10, 2012.
