The National Book Trust invites application from eligible candidates for the post of Library Assistant (Group C) (UR) as per the details given below;

Name of the post : Library Assistant
Pay Band : Pay Band-1 Rs. 5200-20200+ GP 2800/-
Total emoluments : Rs.24,600/- approx. including HRA
Age Limit : 30 years
Initial Posting : Head Office, New Delhi

Essential Qualification & Experience :
a) A degree from a recognized university;
b) Diploma in Library Science;
c) Three years’ experience of working in a library.

Job Requirement : Purchase and accession of books; technical work on VIRTUA (computerized cataloguing) – MARC 21, maintenance, circulation and shelving of books & periodicals; answering reference queries online/verbally, etc.

Fee : Demand Draft for Rs.100/- (no fee for SC/ST/PWD category) in favour of Director, National Book Trust, India payable at New Delhi.
