NATURE OF JOB
- In charge & Looking after the Maintenance department activities of Process plant and
Captive power plant
- As a Maintenance In charge increasing the reliability of Plant Equipment’s.
- Vendor Development, Vendor Evaluation, Techno commercial Negotiation with vendors and AMC parties.
- Preparation of Revenue budget for the financial year and control the expenditure with proper planning by using available recourses
- Floating tenders and Put up note for Management Approval for any major Modification and Procurement of Equipments.
- Planning & Executing of Major Shut down and ATA Activities
- Presentation of Department Activities and Improvements to the Directors of Management during Management Review Committee (MRC).
- Core member of RISK Management Systems.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AS MAINTENANCE INCHARGE :
- Coordinate with process department for smooth running of Process plant and Captive power plant
- To reduce maintenance down time by all means as possible
- To meet out emergencies and to plan the jobs effectively in timely completion without affecting production.
- Increase the life and reliability of mechanical equipments.
MAJOR ACTIVITIES
1. Plans necessary action to ensure that maintenance and repair works for all Rotary and Static equipments are carried out correctly to enable the operational objectives to be met.
2. Identifies particular problem areas and assess the effectiveness of current procedures for handling the problems promptly and efficiently.
3. Assists in developing preventive and routine maintenance schedules to ensure that equipments are maintained as effectively as possible.
4. Diagnose complex faults; analyze malfunctions and breakdowns and recommends necessary modification to avoid reoccurrence of complex faults.
5. Prepares scope of work to Engineers & Contractors and review deliverables in engineering modification facility changes job.
6. Creates or modifies procedures as required, recommend changes depending on equipment performance and degree of breakdowns liaise with manufacturers where necessary to resolve equipment problems.
7. Carrying out ISO Audits to other departments and submission of audit findings & NCR to the management.
8. Member of “ CENTRAL LOSS PREVENTIVE COMMITTEE “ and involved in maintaining high standards in safety activities.
9. Liaison with Govt. Officials and Department coordinator for ISO – 9001, ISO -9002 & ISO – 1400 Technical Committee
ACHEIVEMENTS
- Failure of Captive power plant Traveling Grate was rectified by modifying the drive mechanism and Grate assembly thus made availability of Power with out any interruption
- Identified and replaced major Imported spares to Indigenous spares and reducing Revenue Expenditure to 50 Lakhs / annum
- RCM methods and RCA were introduced resulting in reduction of Break down of Critical Equipments
- 1450 KVA-SKL GERMANY DG Generators was successfully re–commissioned after major fire accident and Break–Down and 1500 Kva Cummins Gen sets two numbers were commissioned
- Reducing the down time of plant due to mechanical equipment failure from 8% to 2% with respect to plant running hours and it was maintained.
- Erected and Commissioned “ HIGH RATE THICKNER “ and “ROTARY VACCUM DRUM FILTER “ in effluent plant during the year 1998 – 99 and 2010-11.
- Developed and Created the drawings and spares chart which can be interchangeable which results in easy procurement and maintenance and for future reference also.
- Stores inventory kept minimum by adopting “JIT “method.
- API-610 Pumps of make Kirloskar Ebara, Flow serve, and Sulzer pumps were
Commissioned in the tank farm area for pumping Hydro carbon
- Scrapped recycle gas compressor rectified & commissioned. By this, procurement of new imported compressor is avoided & its performance is good.
- Development of vendor (instead of SARAN, we changed to PTFE & then to Titanium lining) it is economical, repairable, & delivery time is less.
- Erected & Commissioned Water Augmentation Project and Sewage Treatment plant thus reducing the Metro water consumption as an Economic factor
- Erected & Commissioned High Quality product Augmentation project by renewal of 25 metes sieve type tray column to structured packing column with higher capacity Re-Boiler & Condenser in the year 2008.
- Erected & Commissioned cross country pipe line for critical services like Effluent, Chlorine & Hydrocarbon.
- Higher capacity cooling tower was erected of make M/S PAHARPOOR COOLING TOWERS LTD So as to meet out higher plant load.
