www.ssc.nic.in Result 2012 Constables CAPFs, Rifleman Assam Rifles Male Candidate : Staff Selection Commission
Name of the Organisation : Staff Selection Commission (ssc.nic.in) Type of Announcement : Result Designation : Constables (GD) in CAPFs and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, 2012 Reference Number : (TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE EMPLOYMENT NEWS/ROZGAR SAMACHAR DATED 03-12-2011)
Declaration of final result of Male candidates for recruitment of Constables (GD) in CAPFs and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, 2012.
The Staff Selection Commission conducted recruitment of Constable (GD) in CAPFs and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2012 on 22.4.2012 of those candidates who have qualified the PST/PET.
The results of written examination of 1,58,773 and 2461 male candidates qualified for Detailed Medical Examination were declared on 12-6-2012 and 22.6.2012.
On the basis of the written examination and Detailed Medical Examination, Commission has now declared the result of 37,553 male candidates including 37,346 in Select List and 207 in Reserve List who have been recommended for appointment to the post of Constable (GD) in CAPFs and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles.
The minimum cut-off percentage marks in the written examination are 33% for SC, ST and OBC candidates and 35% for UR and Ex-Servicemen candidates. Domicile in a State/UT is an eligibility condition laid down for consideration against vacancies in the State/UT. Keeping these factors in view Commission fixed different qualifying criteria for different States/UTs for calling the candidates for Detailed Medical Examination.
The final result has been processed in the following manner finalized in consultation with MHA and as per MHA guidelines:-
(i) Select list has been prepared as per state-wise vacancies with further reservation for candidates of Border Districts/ Naxal or Militancy affected districts within the state. Candidates belonging to Border/Naxal or Militancy affected districts have been considered against vacancies in such areas or in the State concerned as may be advantageous to them. Allocation to various CAPFs has been done as per merit cum option of the candidates, subject to availability of vacancies in State/UT concerned, reservation for Border district and Naxal/Militancy affected districts and category-wise reservation.
(ii) MHA has advised that unfilled vacancies in Jammu & Kashmir, North Eastern States (Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura), Naxal and Militancy affected states (Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Orissa, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal) should not be filled with candidates from surplus States/UTs. Unfilled vacancies pertaining to Border districts are also not to be filled from surplus candidates of the same/other states. Therefore, such vacancies were not taken into consideration after preparation of the Select List while allotting surplus candidates against vacancies in deficit States/UTs. Surplus candidates securing marks above the maximum cut off marks fixed in the written examination for their respective categories for RL (list IV of candidates qualified for Medical Examination) were considered for allocation against the unfilled vacancies other than in the States mentioned above, for inclusion in the Reserve List.
(iii) In order to ensure that candidates selected in the reserve list are not allocated to a better preference as compared to the candidates with higher merit order in the select list, such candidates getting better preference while being considered against vacancies meant for other States were included in the reserve list.
(iv) Some candidates did not get allocated in the select list due to blank / invalid options. These candidates were also considered for allocation in the reserve list after substituting their preference as ABCDEF i.e. orders of preference in the Notice.
The Lists are provisional subject to verification of their eligibility and verification of State of Domicile and their claim to be Domicile in Border Districts/Naxal and militancy affected districts of candidates in Select List, who have been allotted concerned vacancies.
The detailed result of this examination of the candidates recommended is available on the Commission’s Website: http://ssc.nic.in. Candidates marks data including their Medical result, post preference etc. will be placed on SSC website shortly.
The result are placed on the Website without prejudice to the Commission undertaking post examination analysis of performance of the candidates in the written examination and taking further action, as provided in the notice of the examination in respect of candidates who are found on the basis of such analysis, to have indulged in malpractice in the written examination.
Any candidate desirous of making representation against the result due to change in category, change in State border or Naxal/Militancy affected district code etc. may represent on or before 31.10.2012 to the undersigned giving full facts and furnishing documentary evidence. Representations received after this date may not be entertained. It may also be noted that claims not made in the application, will not be entertained at all.
