Essential Qualifications :
(i) Minimum 55% in M.Phil in Modern Indian History with 8 years experience OR Ph.D. in History with 2 years experience in research/archival work.
(ii) Excellent reading writing and speaking skills in English and one or more modern Indian Language (s).
Desirable Qualifications :
(i) Archival/Museumology Training from National Archives/National Museum Institute or equivalent
(ii) Knowledge of the period 1940s-1970s especially left and cultural movements.
(iii) Ability to arrange exhibitions, publications, lectures and workshops associated with the archives.

2.Name of the post : Deputy Librarian Group-A

Pay Scale : Pay Band-3 Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay Rs. 8000
Essential Qualifications :
(i) A Master’s Degree in library science/information science/documentation with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale and a consistently good academic record.
(ii) Five Years experience as an Assistant University Librarian/College Librarian.
(iii) Evidence of innovative library service and organization of published work and professional commitment, computerization of library.
Desirable Qualifications :
(i) A M.Phil/Ph.D. Degree in library science/information science/documentation/ archives and manuscript-keeping/computerization of library.
(ii) Post Graduate Diploma/Certificate Course in Computer Application/Science/Library Automation from a recognized institute with minimum of 06 months duration.

3.Name of the post : Assistant Librarian – Group-A

Pay Scale : Pay Band-3 Rs. 15600-39100 with Academic Grade Pay Rs.6000
Essential Qualifications :
(i) A Master’s Degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and a consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library.
(ii) Qualifying in the national level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.
(iii) However, candidates, who are, or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in accordance with the “University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree), Regulations 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of University Assistant Librarian/College Librarian.
Desirable Qualifications :
(i) Post Graduate Diploma/Certificate Course in Computer Application/ Science/Library Automation from a recognized institute with minimum of 6 months duration.
(ii) Knowledge of any foreign language.
(iii) Atleast 4 years’ working experience in a reputed Library.

Upper Age Limit : 45 years.
