Applications are invited for the post of Director General, ERNET India, New Delhi in the HAG scale of Rs. 67,000 (annual increment @3%)-79,000 (with allowances as per Central Govt. Rules). The post is proposed to be filled up by Direct Recruitment / Transfer (absorption). The appointment would be for a tenure not exceeding five years or till date of retirement on superannuation, whichever is earlier.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :
A. Direct Recruitment : Bachelor/Master degree in Technology/Engineering or equivalent or Ph.D in the field of Electronics/Electricals/Electronics & Communications/Tele-communications/Computer Science/Physics with specialization in Electronics.
Experience in the areas of Computer Communication :
25 years for B.E/B.Tech OR equivalent
20 years for M.E/M.Tech OR equivalent
15 years for Ph.D
Desirable Experience : 5 years experience in the field of Computer / Computer Networking.

B. Transfer (Absorption) : In case of transfer (absorption), officers of Central/State Govt./PSUs/ Autonomous bodies will be eligible,
a) Holding analogous post on regular basis OR having 5 years regular service in the scale of pay of Rs.s 37,400-67,000 with Grade Pay of Rs. 10,000/- (PB-4) (Pre-revised Scale of Rs. 18,400-22,400)
b) possessing the qualifications prescribed for direct recruitment.
