Essential Qualifications : PhD in Forestry/ Ecology/ Agricultural Meteorology.

Desirable qualifications :
i) Research experience in field of forest carbon science/ ecosystem dynamics/ climate change/ ecology.
ii) Research experience in field instrumentation & data analysis of radiation, meteorology & biometric data.
iii) Knowledge of statistical analysis. Familiarity of computers in modelling

Pay & Allowances : Selected candidate will be appointed as Scientist/Engineer ’SD’ in the pay band of Rs.15600-39100/- with grade pay of Rs.6600/-. The gross emoluments in the minimum of pay band will at present be approximately Rs.41,830/-.

Selection Process : The qualifications prescribed in this advertisement are the minimum requirement and the same does not automatically make candidates eligible to be called for interview. Based on the details of marks furnished by the applicants, the candidates will be shortlisted for interview. Marks obtained in the minimum qualification required and also the performance of the candidates in the lower qualifications i.e. B.Sc./M.Sc./B.E/ B.Tech/ME/M.Tech etc. shall be taken into account for short listing the candidates. Candidates called and attended for interview shall be reimbursed to and fro second-class train fare by the shortest route from the address given in the application to the place of interview.
