    Applications are invited from eligible land loser candidates (Self / Sons / Spouse / Unmarried daughters / Grand sons / Unmarried Grand daughters only) whose land has been acquired for Konkan Railway project, irrespective of the percentage of land lost and from only SC/ST candidates from other than landlosers also registered with the Employment Exchanges along Konkan Railway route within the jurisdiction of Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. (Raigad, Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri Districts of Maharashtra; Goa State; and Karwar, Udupi and South Kannada Districts of Karnataka),for the following post in Information Technology department in Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd.     Eligibility Criteria :
    i) Land losers whose land has been acquired for Konkan Railway line Project (Self / Sons / Spouse / Unmarried daughters / Grand sons/ Unmarried Grand daughters only) are eligible.
    ii) Other than Konkan Railway land losers, only SC/ST candidates from Employment Exchanges along Konkan Railway route within the jurisdiction of Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. (Raigad, Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri Districts of Maharashtra; Goa State; and Karwar, Udupi and South Kannada Districts of Karnataka) are eligible.
    iii) Employees/Trainees of Konkan Railway are not eligible.

    Educational Qualification & Work Experience :
    i) Three (03) years Diploma from recognized Technical Board in Computer Science / Electronics / Computer Applications having minimum 70% marks obtained in final examination and 2 years of working experience in the field of IT.
    ii) Candidates appearing at and/or awaiting result are not eligible. Candidates with no work experience are not eligible. Applications not accompanied with certificates of each year for above qualification and work experience will be rejected.

    Posting : The selected candidates can be posted and transferred anywhere in the area of operation of Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd, including its project sites. However, the employees of Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. are not eligible for transfer to other Zonal Railways.

    What is the selection process?

    Separate panel will be prepared for landloser candidates and other than landloser candidates. Priority for appointment will begiven to landloser candidates and only after exhausting the panel of landlosers, the second panel (other than landlosers) will be operated depending upon the shortfall in the vacancies notified. Based on the applications received, eligible candidates will be called for written examination.

    KRCL reserves the right to hold the written examination of only landloser candidates depending upon the response received from landloser candidates. Those who qualify in the written examination will be called for Personal Interview and scrutiny of documents as per merit order. Candidates with all clear records and as per merit will be called for prescribed medical examination. The selected and medically fit candidates will be provisionally appointed based on the merit position . subject to verification of antecedents.

    The selected candidates will be required to undergotraining for one year. At the end of the first year, their performance will be assessed either through written test and/or any other means as will be decided by KRCL. The services of those who fail in this assessment will be terminated. Those who pass in the assessment will be placed on probation of one year and their services will be regularized after one year based on performance review. During training and probation period, candidates will be paid a fixed stipend.
