Declaration of final result of Female candidates for recruitment of Constables (GD) in CAPFs and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, 2012.

The Staff Selection Commission conducted the written examination for candidates of the above recruitment who had qualified in PST/PET on 22.4.2012. Based on performance in the Written Examination, candidates were to be shortlisted for Medical Examination.

    2. The results of 9,932 and 45 female candidates qualified for Detailed Medical Examination was declared on 12-6-2012 and 22.6.2012.

    3. Break-up of the results in medical examination of 9,915 female candidates is given below :-
    FIT – 5,794
    UNFIT – 3,441
    Absent - 598
    Reject - 13
    Blank/Invalid - 69

    4. The final result has been processed in the following manner in consultation with MHA and as per MHA guidelines :-
    (i) Select list has been prepared as per state-wise vacancies with further reservation for candidates of Border Districts/ Naxal or Militancy affected districts within the state. Candidates belonging to Border/Naxal or Militancy affected districts have been considered against vacancies in such areas or in the State concerned as may be advantageous to them. Allocation to various CAPFs has been done as per merit cum option of the candidates, subject to availability of vacancies in State/UT concerned, reservation for Border district and Naxal/Militancy affected districts and category-wise reservation.

(ii) MHA has advised that unfilled vacancies in Jammu & Kashmir, North Eastern States (Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura) and Naxal and Militancy affected States (Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Orissa, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal) should not be filled with other candidates from surplus States/UTs. Unfilled vacancies pertaining to Border districts are also not to be filled from surplus candidates of the same / other states. Therefore, such vacancies were not taken into consideration after preparation of the Select List while allotting surplus candidates against vacancies in deficit States/UTs. Surplus candidates securing marks above the cut off marks fixed in the written examination for their respective categories for RL were considered for allocation against the unfilled vacancies other than in the States mentioned above, for inclusion in the Reserve List.

(iii) In order to ensure that candidates selected in the reserve list are not allocated to a better preference as compared to the candidates with higher merit order in the select list, such candidates who are getting better preference while being considered against vacancies meant for other States were included in the reserve list.

(iv) Some candidates did not get allocated in the select list due to blank / invalid options. These candidates were also considered for allocation in the reserve list after substituting their preference as ABCD i.e. orders of preference in the Notice.

    5. Following is the detail of state wise, Vacancy type wise (G-General / B- Border Districts / N-Naxal/Militancy affected districts), Category wise number of Vacancies, number of filled vacancies, Highest and Lowest marks secured by candidates selected against the corresponding vacancies.

    7. Tie-criteria used for preparing result is as follows :-
    (a) The tie is resolved by the Commission by referring to the total marks in the written examination i.e. a candidate having more marks in the written examination gets preference over the candidate(s) with less marks.
    (b) If the tie still persists then the marks in Part A are referred to i.e. a candidate having more marks in Part A is given preference.
    (c) If the tie still persists, the candidate older in age gets preference.
    (d) If the tie still persists, it is finally resolved by referring to the alphabetical order of names i.e. a candidate whose name begins with the alphabet which comes first in the alphabetical order gets preference.

    8. Candidatures of 10 candidates are kept in provisional. Concerned RDs/DDs will be required to check the eligibility of such candidates thoroughly before their nomination.

    9. The List of recommended candidates is purely provisional and subject to the candidates fulfilling all the eligibility conditions prescribed in the Notice of the said examination and also subject to, among other things thorough verification of their identity with reference to this photographs, signatures, handwritings, etc. on the application forms, admission certificates, etc.

    10. For candidates belonging to reserved categories for whom certain percentage of vacancies are reserved as per policy of the Government, the category status is indicated against their roll numbers. It is important to note that some of these candidates have been declared qualified only in the category mentioned against their roll numbers. If any candidate does not actually belong to the category mentioned against her name, she may not be eligible to be included in the list. It is, therefore, in the interest of candidates concerned to contact immediately the respective Regional Offices of the Commission in all such cases where they do not belong to the categories against their Roll numbers.

    11. Candidates in Reserve List will be en-bloc junior to candidates in Select List.

    12. The Lists are provisional subject to verification of their eligibility and verification of State of Domicile in Border Districts/Naxal and militancy affected districts of candidates in Select List, who have been allotted concerned vacancies.
