Courses :
Two-year Full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Management approved by AICTE, New Delhi. The specializations offered:
PGDM-Human Resource Management
PGDM-Rural Management
PGDM-Information Technology
PGDM-Finance
PGDM-Marketing

Seats Available :
Total number of seats available in Two Years Full-time PGDM course are seventy five (75) each in Human Resource Management and Rural Management and sixty (60) each in Information Technology, Finance and Marketing Management specializations. Out of the above seats fifty per cent seats are reserved for SC/ST and Christian candidates.

Eligibility for Admission :
i) Minimum qualification for admission to the two years full-time PGDM course at the Institute is three / four years bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST) in any discipline recognized by Association of Indian Universities. However preference will be given to Engineering, Economics, Commerce, Management and Computer Science graduates and candidates with relevant work experience.
ii) Candidates appearing for final year or final semester of their graduate degree examination in academic year 2012-13 are also eligible to appear for the admission process. Such candidates, if called for interview, should submit the copy of admit card or a letter from the principal of the college where they are studying to that effect. Such candidates if finally selected at XISS, Ranchi must clear their Graduation examination with 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST) by August 2013.

Three stage admission process is followed by the Institute as per the guidelines of AICTE. These stages are:

Group Discussion
Personal Interview

How to Apply :
A candidate desirous of seeking admission in the Institute will have to appear in an all India level management admission test organized by XLRI Jamshedpur (XAT 2013 on January 6th 2013) or AICTE, Delhi (CMAT Sep. 2012 between 27 Sep – 1 Oct, 2012). For admission to batches 2013-15, scores of only XAT 2013 and AICTE-CMAT Sep. 2012 will be accepted.

Candidates will have to apply online for appearing in AICTE-CMAT Sep 2012 by visiting
http://www.aicte-cmat.in.

Registration for XAT 2013 can be done online only by visiting
www.xatonline.net.in.

Mode of Fee Payment :
The candidates will have to apply separately at XISS, Ranchi. The institute will accept only online registrations. The registrations will remain open from 3 Sep, 2012 to 2 Feb 2013. For online registrations, the Registration Fee can be paid through online transactions using Credit / Debit / ATM cards / Online Banking. The fee can also be paid by Bank Draft drawn in favour of ‘Xavier Institute of Social Service', payable at Ranchi or by cash at the institute’s fee counter.

Registration fee :

One specialization : Rs. 1000 (Rupees One thousand only)
Two specializations : Rs. 1600 (Rupees One thousand six hundred only)
Three specializations : Rs. 2000 (Rupees Two thousand only)
Service Charges and Taxes extra as applicable on making online payments / demand draft

Based on XAT 2013/AICTE-CMAT Sep 2012 scores, candidates who have applied for admission at the institute will be shortlisted and will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview to be held at Ranchi New Delhi Kolkata and Bangalore during 18 Feb to 2 Mar 2013.
