Job Description
Responsible for handling Service, Maintenance & Modernisation Business.
Desired Candidate Profile
1. Responsible for the service operation of the branch.
2. Responsible for handing over process of lifts from Installation Department to Service Department and follow-up.
3. Meet and correspond with the customer and understand their requirements.
4. Study the service requirements of the branch and introduce proper system and procedures and ensure implementation.
5. Define job responsibilities and accountabilities of the service engineers.
6. Maintain discipline among the employees.
7. Responsible for meeting the Safety standards.
8. Responsible for total quality by –
a. Organizing quality circles
b. Conducting quality audits
c. Identifying problems and sending problem solving requests to HO
d. Obtaining feedback reports on regular basis and initiate appropriate action.
9. Educate the front-line personnel on customer relationship.
10. Monitor and review performance of the servicing on a continuous basis.
11. To reduce call outs as per company’s requirement.
12. Responsible for invoicing and collection on time.
13. Increasing service business revenue by providing better service to customers.
14. To reduce shut down time by-
a. Chalking out clear repair plans
b. Organizing adequate stock of spares
15. Reduce the sick lifts by-
a. Performing call out analysis on a weekly/monthly basis for various Lifts(Elevators) In Service(LIS).
b. Chalking out action plans
16. Organize/attend meetings relating to shut down, breakdowns, servicing, sick lifts, customer complaints.
17. Allocate manpower as per the zones.
18. Monitor the productivity of each team on a periodical basis and initiate necessary action wherever required.
19. Responsible for prompt renewals of service contracts.
20. Explore the possibilities of increasing Lifts in Service by bringing our own lifts and the competitor’s lifts into our service fold.
21. Ensuring prompt supply of materials for repairs, service, and modernization jobs.
22. Provide feedback reports to the GM/RM/BM on the following-
a. Daily shut down report analysis
b. Performance of warranty lifts and warranty costs.
c. LIS performance
d. OT reports
e. IR issues
23. Ensure maintenance of the following records-
a. Service report register
b. Breakdown register
c. LIS performance measurement
d. Shift register
e. Attendance register
f. Sick lift register
g. Daily shutdown report
h. Repair Schedule
i. Service Schedule
j. Engineer service schedule
k. Service inspection report
l. Major repair register
m. Materials consumed labour contract file
n. Job wise breakdowns
o. Job wise material consumption
p. Job wise labour cost
q. Drawings file
r. Job wise file
s. Overtime file
t. Warranty cost (materials consumed during warranty period)
u. Stock statement
v. Inventory record
w. Miscellaneous records
24. Identify potential lifts for modernization.
25. Generate necessary statistics for sick lifts and advising on modernization.
26. Co-ordinate with the modernization personnel and monitor the progress of modernization jobs.
27. Responsible for meeting the budgeted modernization jobs
28. Any other job assigned from time to time.
