ZCO-2013 An Online Programming Contest :
An online programming contest, the Zonal Computing Olympiad 2013, will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012. About 50 students will qualify for the Indian National Olympiad in Informatics 2013 (INOI-2013), to be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013. This is in addition to those who qualify for INOI-2013 via the Zonal Informatics Olympiad 2013 (ZIO-2013) that will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2013.
Registration for ZCO-2013 will be online. Details will be announced shortly.
ZIO-2013 will be held on November 3, 2012
The Zonal Informatics Olympiad, 2013 (ZIO-2013) will be held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, 3 November, 2012. ZIO-2013 is the first round towards qualifying for the team to represent India at the International Olympiad in Informatics, 2013 (IOI-2013), to be held in Australia in July, 2013.
The exam will be held at various centres throughout the country. Exact details about examination centres and how to register are given below.
Registration procedure for ZIO-2013 :
Participation in ZIO-2013 is open to all students who are in 8th-12th standard during the academic year 2012-2013.
Note :
Registration is open to students from all school boards, not just students studying in CBSE schools.
The examinations will be conducted in about 35 cities across the country and West Asia. Each of these cities will have one or more nodal centres which will be responsible for the conduct of the examinations.
Applications for participating in ZIO-2013 should be sent through the school principal. :
** Format for sending details about the participants from each school.
** Each school principal is requested to forward the list of candidates participating in ZIO-2013 to the nodal centre along with the examination fee.
** The fee for each participant will be Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred only). A consolidated demand draft for all the participants of your school may be drawn in favour of Secretary, CBSE, Delhi.
Note :
The list of nodal centres for ZIO-2013 and the last date for submitting the applications will be announced shortly. To avoid last minute delays, please prepare the list of candidates and the demand draft for the examiniation fee immediately.
** No admit card or roll number will be issued. Instead, when candidates go to write the examination, they should carry with them a bonafide certificate with their photograph attested by the principal of their school.
