Project No. 1 : Indicators of climate change in the context of Himalayan forest ecosystems along an environmental gradient (PI: Dr. G.C.S. Negi) Name of the post :Junior Research Fellow No. of post :3 Emoluments : Rs. 12,000 pm + HRA OR Rs. 16,000 pm for NET qualified + HRA Essential qualification : First class Masters Degree in Botany, Forestry, Environmental Sciences (two positions). For one position in addition to above P.G. Diploma in RS/GIS OR M.Sc./M.Tech (RS & GIS) with B.Sc. with Botany/Forestry as one of main subjects. Desirable : Preference will be given to candidates having experience on Himalayan forests/vegetation Nature of duties : Extensive field work in the remote locations of forests in mountains and rigorous lab. work

First class Masters degree in Plant Physiology/ Biochemistry/Environmental Science or in Botany with any of the above specialization (1 no.)
First class Masters degree in Microbiology with specialization in Soil microbiology(1 no.) Desirable : Preference will be given to candidates having knowledge in instrumentation and experience of working in Himalayan region Nature of duties :
To establish field experimental sites and grow target species in different altitudes.
Determination of various physiological and biochemical parameters in plants
Determination of microbial diversity at different altitudes with reference to rhizosphere microorganisms
Name of the post :Lab/Field Attendant No. of post :02 Emoluments : Rs 6,000/- (Fixed Per Month) Essential qualification : Class 10th pass Desirable : Experience of working (lab/field) in similar research projects of Himalayan mountains. Nature of duties : To prepare culture media, maintain lab, nursery and field sites; to assist project staff in lab/field work.
