Admission to the fully residential two year PGDFM is open to graduates from any discipline provided he/she fulfils the eligibility criteria and qualifies through the selection process.
Eligibility :
i) Applicants should have at least a three-year bachelor’s degree in any discipline obtained through the 10+2+3 system or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), with a minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/DA) or equivalent CGPA.
ii) Candidates appearing for the final year graduation examination are also eligible to apply provided they complete it before June 30, 2013 and fulfill the eligibility criteria as set by IIFM.
Admission Procedure :
STEP-1 : Common Admission Test (CAT)
All applicants desirous of seeking admission in PGDFM at IIFM have to appear for Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by Indian Institute of Management (IIMs), by responding to their notification published in leading national dailies. IIFM will use the CAT score for short-listing the candidates for two year full time post graduate programme. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.
STEP-2 : IIFM Application Form:
In addition to CAT, the candidate should also fill-up a separate form for admission to PGDFM, which is available from IIFM Bhopal. The cost of IIFM application form is Rs. 900/- (450/- for SC/ ST) payable at Bhopal. This can be obtained either personally or by post. The application form can also be downloaded from our website and in that case, the completed application form should accompany the Demand Draft of the specified amount drawn in favour of “Director, Indian Institute of Forest Management” payable at Bhopal.
Filled in application form, complete in all respect including the CAT registration number (which will be available on CAT vouchers issued by IIM) should reach IIFM Bhopal on or before 10th December 2012. Applicant should attach the photocopy of CAT voucher along with IIFM application form.
STEP-3 : Group Discussion/Interview:
Candidates short listed on the basis of CAT score, will be called for Group Discussion and Interview during February/March 2013 based on the choice of candidates, as mentioned in the Application Form
Reservation :
15%, 7.5%, 27% and 3% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the SC, ST, Non-Creamy-OBC and DA (also referred to as Persons with Disability) (PWD) respectively, provided they meet the minimum selection criteria as specified by IIFM.

IIFM Invites Application for M.Phil. (Natural Resource Management)
IIFM, Bhopal, a premier sectoral management institute, funded by Ministry of Environment & Forests, Government of India, invites applications for M.Phil. in Natural Resource Management. (award of degree by Saurashtra University, Rajkot) commencing from July 2013. With a focus on climate change, the programme comprises of class work, field work, seminar, study tour (National as well as abroad) and dissertation.
Eligibility : Candidates must have a Post Graduate Degree/Diploma or its equivalent, recognized by an Indian University or Association of Indian Universities with minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PD) in aggregate in the field of Science/Engineering/Management and related Social Sciences (as decided by equivalence committee of the Institute). Those appearing in the final year of Post Graduation examination can also apply; provided they complete the eligibility criteria by June 2013.
Seats : The total number of seats available is 20; out of which maximum of 10 seats will be filled by inservice officers from Indian Forest Service, State Forest Services, Group A officers or equivalent from Govt. Departments/Public Sector & Representatives from NGOs with minimum three years of experience in fields related to Natural Resource Management. Remaining 10 seats shall be filled by other eligible candidates.
Reservation : Reservation of seats will be applicable to the candidates as per the prevailing Government of India norms.
Selection Process : For in-service officers, the application should be forwarded through proper channel which will be screened at the Institute for direct interview. Candidates possessing UGC/CSIR/ICAR-NET certificate or PGDFM from IIFM with a minimum of 3.0 OGPA shall also be exempted from written test and will be directly called for interview. Others have to qualify a written test conducted by the Institute. The cutoff score of the test will be decided by the Institute and shall have three components namely English Ability, Analytical Ability and Natural Resource Management Aptitude.
Fee : The total cost of the programme is Rs. 1,50,000/-.
Application Fee : Demand Draft of Rs.500/- in favour of Director IIFM, payable at Bhopal.

Eligibility :

Educational Qualification :
A Bachelors degree with at least 50 percent marks and Masters degree (minimum two years prescribed duration after 10+2+3 years of formal education) in relevant discipline (relevancy as decided by the IIFM) with at least 55% marks, including Five year/ Four year Integrated masters degree programme or Professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS with at least 55% marks.
Admission : Eligible candidates with CAT/GMAT scores (scores of two years old with a minimum cut off score as decided by IIFM) or UGC-CSIR-JRF/NET or GATE or ICAR NET (certificates/scores not older than 5 years) or qualified FRI entrance test for PhD (two years old) or candidates who have obtained a PGDFM/PGDM from IIFM/IIM with a minimum OGPA of 3.00 or MRM students of IIFM with 3.00 CGPA or All India and allied services officers, officers in scale II of Nationalized Banks & officers of equivalent rank of PSUs can apply directly. Candidates who fulfil the required eligibility criteria as above and do not have any of the above qualifying test scores, but have five years experience (post their respective eligible degree) shall be called for the internal test and those who qualify in the internal test will be called for GD & PI.
Group Discussion & Interview : GD and Interview for short-listed candidates will be held at IIFM, Bhopal during April/May 2013.
Financial Assistance : Each student would be given a monthly fellowship of Rs. 12,000/- in first and second year; Rs. 14,000/- in third and fourth year and for extended one year (if applicable) during the program.
Fee : Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- in favour of Director IIFM, payable at Bhopal
