Applications invited for Ph. D. Programme for January 2013 Session
CSIR-NML is inviting applications from eligible candidates for admission into Ph.D. program under Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), New Delhi in Materials & Metallurgical Engg under Engineering Sciences, in the ensuing session commencing from Jan’ 2013.

Eligibility :
PhD (Engineering) : Candidates with a Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology with a good academic record or a Master’s degree by Research in Engineering/Technology in Metallurgical/ Mineral/ Chemical/ Mechanical Engg (for Metal forming and Mechanical Metallurgy) or Materials Science with a good academic record are eligible for admission. They must have qualified for M.Tech admission through a valid GATE Score or valid CSIR-SRF and equivalent fellowships.

Fast Track PhD in Engineering :
i) Fresh B.Tech or equivalent (GATE or NET qualified) having CPI of 8/10 in the area of Metallurgical/Mineral /Chemical/Mechanical Engg or Materials Science from well-known universities/ institutes.
ii) M.Sc Students having NET-JRF or Lecturership: M.Sc Students must have passed B.Sc with Phys, Chem and Math having 60% marks with consistently good academic record from well-known universities/institutes.
iii) M.Sc Students with CSIR-SRF or any other equivalent fellowships are also eligible to apply

Selection : Selection for admission to the Ph.D. Program shall be on the basis of interview of short listed candidates at CSIR-NML. The interview for selection will be conducted at CSIRNML, Jamshedpur.
