1. Photography:
Entries are invited directly via email, and printed copy of which is to be submitted during registration for Judging of the winners, which is to be done by a Panel of Judges.

2. Deadline for Submission via Email: 30 September 2012, 11:59 PM
3. One Entry per Candidate only.
4. Entrant need to bring Photo for Display at the Competition Gallery.
5. Size: A3, Digital Print, 5mm/(auto) white Border
6. Format/Specifications : JPEG format, it should be a minimum of 2000 pixels in width/height at 72 dpi and no more than 7 megabytes in size
7. Photographs may not be staged or posed by models.
8. Photo without watermark, designing etc should be submitted.
9. General Rules apply here.

2. Poster :
Entries are invited directly via email, and printed copy of which is to be later submitted during registration for Judging of the winners at the Event by a Panel of Judges.

3. One Entry per Candidate only.
4. Entrant need to bring Designed Poster for Display at the Competition Gallery.
5. Size : A3, Digital Print, 5mm/(auto) white Border
6. Format/Specifications : JPEG format, the dimension for the Poster is 728*560 (Pixels). 728 the width and 560 the height.
7. The Poster should ‘still’ not ‘animated to be in motion’.
8. Design Poster without watermark naming should be submitted.
9. General Rules apply here.

3 . Short Movie :
** Theme : “Instruments of change” – The theme basis itself upon the changes and change makers of a society and their role in social life.
** Deadline : 26th September 2012
** Format for the short film : .mkv/.vob
** Length : 1minutes - 5minutes
** Short films that are submitted must be the entrants’ original work, with due copyright of the same with them.
**Organizers believe contestants have obtained all required permissions regarding music, sound and/or images presented in your short film.

4. On Stage/Street Play :
** Theme : Young India -The theme lies on the premise of the youth, their interaction with their surroundings and their role in social life.
** Deadline : 26th September 2012
** Time : 10 minutes
** Minimum teams for competition category : 5
**Participation : minimum 5 Members of the Team will have to participate in the “Street /On-stage play.”
**The teams are free to approach the topic in their own choice. Teams should keep in mind the topic/theme of the play and create their own script.
**Language : English and/or Hindi, as the language of their play.

5. Debates :
a. Team size : 2 per team
b. A speaker prior to a debate has to select whether to speak in Hindi or English. Once this is done he shall be expected to speak only in that language. So the debate shall be a bi-lingual debate with say, a person for speaking in Hindi and the other in English or both in the same language.
c. The emphasis of judging shall be over the strength of argument , accuracy , command on the language, fluency, and ability to finish well within stipulated time covering all the points of the debate.
d. The time limit per speaker is 5+1 minutes.
e. There shall be a bell at the end of 4th minute and a warning bell at 4 minutes 30 seconds. A final bell shall ring at the end of 5 minutes and the speaker shall from then on cease to speak. Negative marks shall be awarded thereafter.
f. 1 minute has been provided after a speech for open interjections by the audience and judges. Cross questioning is permitted here.
g. The rounds shall be held over a knockout basis.
h. While considering qualification to the next round, the scores of both the speakers shall be combined to form the score of the team.
i. Topic(s) : To be given when participants reach Think India Summit’s venue.
j. However to give a general idea themes have been provided.

Themes for Debate :
** Mass Movements of Civil Society in India,
** Article 370 and report of the interlocutors,
** Rights of Accused,
** Old Media - New Media,
** One Nation, One Exam
** Young (?) India.

6 . Essay Writing :
Topics :
Since this would happen during the event, the topic shall be disclosed only during the event. The topics given though, shall have relevance with the overall theme of Think India Summit. Themes have been provided though for the same. These are provided as illustration only and may not be the exact topic(s) given to participant during the competition.

Themes for Essay :
** Refugee, Immigrant and Infiltrators,
** Law & the Media,
** Resources and Resource-less,
** Election Reforms.

Prizes :
Prize amount is for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions at the Final Event during Think India Summit at Bhopal. Subjected to minimum entries per event which for Street/Stage Play is 5 and rest other is 10. Failing to which best among the competing prize shall be given.

Submission :
All entries are to be mailed to thinkindiamail@gmail.com with titled TIS'12_[Name of Competition(eg : Photography)]_[Name of Entrant]_[Name of Institute]

Competition General Rules :
1. Only candidates eligible to participate at Think India Summit can participate in the Pre Event competitions. This includes students, alumni, faculty, researchers of National and Premier Institutes.
2. Every Participant needs to register via filing his/her details in a Online Google Form in order to compete during the event level at Bhopal.
3. Objectionable content in poster, film, PPT, Street Play which may be inferred as abusive, hurting religious sanctity, obscene, hateful, propagating false information or unauthorised used of intellectual property is NOT allowed and shall result in automatic disqualification.
4. Participation in only two out of all the competitions per delegate allowed, this excludes paper presentation.
5. The Intellectual Property of the presented material should be with presenter or the content so presented should be the original work/creation of the presenter.
6. On entering into the Competition & Presentation, the Copyright of the content is deemed to be licensed to Think India for the purpose of event promotion(s) and publicity of the Think India at large by the presenter
