Haldia Dock Complex, Kolkata Port Trust intends to engage Electrician, Technician (Cable Jointing), Executive (Admn.), Fire Engine Driver, Civil Engineer, Supervisor (Civil) on contract basis.

Name of the post : Electrician
Qualification : Essential :
a) Must have passed Madhyamik or its equivalent examination.
b) Must possess National Trade Certificate in the trade of Electrician.
c) Must have Workman’s Permit from the Directorate of Electricity.
Desirable : Preferably completed full period of Apprenticeship.
Experience : Must have 4 years experience in the trade of Electrician.

Name of the post : Technician (Cable Jointing)
Qualification : Essential :
a. Must have passed Madhyamik or its equivalent examination.
b. Must possess National Trade Certificate in trades of Electrician / Cable Jointing / Wireman.
c. Must have Workman’s Permit for cable jointing upto 11 KV from the Directorate of Electricity.
d. Must have knowledge of termination and straight through joints of PVC / PILC / XLPE and other cables.
e. Must have knowledge of proper laying of cables and safety in electrical work.
Experience : Should have minimum 4 years of experience in similar job.

Name of the post : Executive (Admn.)
Qualification : The selected candidate must possess an Honours Degree in Arts, Science or Commerce from a recognized University or 1st Class Degree from a University which does not offer Honours Course.

Name of the post : Fire Engine Driver
Qualification : Essential :
(i) Must have passed Madhyamik or equivalent examination.
(ii) Must possess a Certificate of training in Fire Fighting from a recognised Institution / Centre.
(iii) Must possess valid Heavy Motor Vehicle Driving Licence for at least 5 years.
(iv) Must be able to maintain log book and other relevant records.
(v) Must have sufficient knowledge of operations and maintenance of different Fire Pumps, Equipments, Appliances and maneuvering of Foam Crash Tender.
(vi) Must possess a sound health.
(vii) Must be able to conduct, supervise & attend different fire drills and parades.
Experience : Must have at least 6 years experience in Fire Fighting work in any recognised Fire service, out of which at least 2 years experience in driving various Fire Appliances like Crash Tender & Jeep Fire Tender.

Name of the post : Civil Engineer
Qualification :
Essential : a) Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Desirable :Knowledge of Infrastructure & Civic Facilities in a big project would be of advantage.

Name of the post : Supervisor(Civil)
Qualification : Essential :
a) Must have passed Madhyamik or its equivalent examination.
b) Must possess Diploma in L.C.E.
Experience : Should have atleast 5 years experience in Civil Engineering works.
