The MHRD IP Chair at the National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), Intellectual Property and Technology Law Society (IPTLS) & Spicy IP proudly announce the First PIP (Pondering Intellectual Property) Competition, 2012

Topic :
Should the process of creating an invention or work determine its protectability as an intellectual property?

Entries close on October 1st, 2012

Note :
Entries should not be more than 5,000 words (inclusive of footnotes & references)

Eligibility :
** Students currently enrolled in accredited full time programs in law anywhere in the world (where the program of study counts as their first degree in law). Students pursuing LLM’s or higher degrees in law are not eligible.
** Only one entry may be submitted per student. Co- authorship is permitted so long as the co-authors are also individually eligible under the terms of this competition.

Word Limit :
** Entries should not be longer than 5,000 words (inclusive of footnotes & references).
** Entries exceeding the word limit would be automatically disqualified.

Entries should be submitted in .doc format with the following specifications :
** Font Type : Times New Roman
** Spacing : 1.5 inch spacing
** Font Size : 12 points

Submission Format :
Entries should have a cover page containing the following :
** Full name;
** Institution, date of birth, degree & year of study; and
** Email address & telephone number.

Prizes :
** First : 25,000 ($500)
** Second : 12,500 ($250)
** Third : 7,500 ($150)

Note :
Please note the winning entry will be eligible for publication at the NUJS Law Review

Mode of Submission :
Entries have to be mailed to iptls@nujs.edu (Late submissions will not be considered)

Result :
The results of the competition will be notified on or before November 15, 2012.
