Role Title : Implementation/Planning Project Manager

ROLE PURPOSE :
To actively monitor and drive all functional project deliverables for the implementation of TIGER. To manage the overall Implementation plan and ensure that progress is tracked in an efficient and meaningful manner. To ensure management of all aspects of the programme, including reporting, risks and issue management and inter-project dependencies. Ensure that programme management tools and processes are in place such that the Implementation and Release Managers can perform their day to day project management activities and report progress. Ensure that the deliverables defined for the programme and in the contract are delivered in a timely and quality manner.

Key Accountabilities
Manage planning of functional activities in the Tiger Programme, defining schedules and resourcing profiles to achieve simultaneous and overlapping deployments
Strategic planning of future deployments
Ensures delivery, implementation and enhancement of services according to contractual documents and SLAs
Communicate plans to stakeholders; rationalize complex issues to produce workable implementation plans
Define project management standards, e.g. risk management, scope management
Define the standard deployment programme approach
Work with the Release Managers to define baseline plans and allocate resources
Co-ordinate delivery teams to ensure project deliverables are executed
Manages programme budget for fast-track countries
To highlight risks within the project to the appropriate levels where processes are not aligned, providing a plan and effecting resolution
To ensure that centralized change register and risk register are updated with accurate information
Participate in Programme and decision making forums
To manage the quality assurance process to ensure all deliverables meet the appropriate quality standards.

Essential role related knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience at selection :
Track record of successful service provider integration and delivery management and business management serving multiple parties/customers
Experience in complex programme and restructuring management in a technological context
Ability to manage in dynamic, high-growth, high-uncertainty environments
Ability to manage an international and distributed team
Strong communication and decision making skills – ability to balance conflicting interests
Expert in the use of Microsoft Project (preferably Orange belt, or equivalent)
