IIT Kharagpur invites applications from the Indian nationals for filling up the following posts;
1.Name of the post : Deputy Registrar
No. of post : 01 (One) post
Upper age limit : 55 years
Pay Band : Rs. 15600-39100/- (PB-3) + Grade Pay Rs. 7600/- and allowances as admissible.
Qualification & Experience : A postgraduate degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC 7 point scale; along with;
(i) 9 years’ of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of ` 6000/- and above with experience in educational administration, or
(ii) Comparable experience in research establishment and / or other institutions of higher education, or
(iii) 5 years’ of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or in an equivalent post in IITs / University System / Research Institute / Central Government Departments.
Desirable : Experience / Exposure to computer based Finance & Accounting / Audit / Academic / Purchase & Stores / Establishment will be preferred.

2.Name of the post : Sports Officer
No. of post : 1 (one)
Upper age limit : 55 years
Pay Band : Rs.15600-39100/- (PB-3) + AGP Rs.6000/- and allowances as admissible.
Qualification & Experience : Master’s degree in Physical Education from a recognized university with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade B in the seven point UGC Scale in Physical Education with a diploma in sports coaching from a recognized Institute. OR Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade B in the seven point UGC scale in Physical Education and should have represented university or state at National level. Five years experience in organizing Games and Sports at University / Inter College level. Demonstrated ability to encourage mass participation in events in games and sports.

3.Name of the post : Physical Training Instructor
No. of post : 4 (four)
Upper age limit : 32 years
Pay Band : Rs.9300-34800/- (PB-2) + Grade Pay Rs.4200/- and allowances as admissible.
Qualification & Experience : Master’s Degree in Physical Education with one year of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education with 3 years of relevant experience in Sports and Games / Swimming, Hockey and Gymnasium at University or State or National level.
Desirable : NIS diploma in the field of sports indicated above. Experience in coaching Sports and Games activities / Swimming & Gymkhana activities at University / College level. Proficiency in more than one game.
