NTPC Scholarship Scheme for SC/ST/Physically Challenged Engineering Students :
NTPC Limited, Maharatna and India’s number 1 power generation company, invites applications for grant of 35 Scholarships under ‘NTPC Scholarship Scheme’ for meritorious Schedule Caste/ Schedule Tribe/ Physically Challenged students, who are pursuing 4 years full time Engg. degree course in any one of the disciplines of Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Computer Science, Electronics/Telecommunications from an institute recognized by the Govt. of India and have successfully passed their first year examinations in first attempt in 2011 completed 2nd year 2012 & pursuing 3rd year full time Engineering degree course in the session 2012-13.

As a responsible and socially conscious enterprise, NTPC is offering 35 scholarships to students belonging to Schedule Caste/ Schedule Tribe/ Physically Challenged categories pursuing full time degree course in Engineering.

Last date 25 September, 2012

Eligibility :
1. Students belonging to SC/ST/Physically Challenged categories (Visually Handicapped/ Hearing Handicapped/ Orthopaedically Handicapped)

2. Pursuing 4 years full time degree course in Engineering in the disciplines of
** Electrical Engineering,
** Instrumentation Engineering,
** Mechanical Engineering,
** Computer Science Engineering,
** Electronics / Telecommunication Engineering

3. From a college/ university/ institute recognized by the Govt. of India

4. Should be in the 3rd Year in the session 2012-2013. Those who have successfully completed the 1st year degree course in 2011 & 2nd year in 2012 in the first attempt – only need apply.

5. They should not be receiving any financial aid or assistance from any source.

Scholarship Amount :
The scholarship is admissible from the second year of study till the final year subject to the condition that the student meets the minimum qualifying criterion for success in each year. The amount of scholarship is Rs.1500/- P.M. Total 35 scholarships will be granted (20 SC, 10 ST and 05 PC).

How to Apply :
Students fulfilling the eligibility condition may submit their applications in the prescribed format printed alongside duly completed in all respects along with supporting documents through the Head of the Institution. While forwarding the application, the institute shall certify to the effect that information furnished by the candidate is correct and the institute is recognized by the Government of India.
