Applications (Off-line/ On-line) in the Commission’s prescribed form AF-I are invited from genuine citizens of India who are desirous to apply in terms and conditions of this Advertisement for recruitment to the various categories of posts specified in the table below.

1. Name of the post : Assistant Engineer (C) Under Public Health Department
No .of post : : 06
Age Limit as on 1.1.2012 : 18 to 27 Years
Educational Qualification : Graduate in Civil Engineering from any recognized Institution / University recognised by the State of Meghalaya

2. Name of the post :Junior Duty Posts Under Civil Defence & Home Guard Services
No. of post : 04
Age Limit as on 1.1.2012 : 18 2o 27 Years
Educational Qualification :
i) Graduate in Arts/Science/Commerce from any recognized University.
ii) On appointment the candidates will be on probationary period of two years. They will have to undergo basic Training including training in drill with/without arms at an Institute that the Department may arrange and will have to pass such examination that the Department may prescribe.
iii) They should be in good mental and physical health free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties.

3. Name of the post :Lecturer In Govt. Colleges Under Education Department
No. of post : 38
Age Limit as on 1.1.2012 : Upper age limit is 30 years
Educational Qualification : Candidates must have Honours in the subject at the First Degree Level. They must also have a consistently good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale whenever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree Level in a relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from accredited foreign University. They must also have cleared National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR or similar tests accredited by the UGC. For the posts of Lecturers of CTE, Tura, B.Ed, is an essential qualification. Relaxation of 5% marks from 55% is applicable to SC/ST candidates. Ph.D Degree holders are exempted from requirement of NET.

Age Limit as on 1.1.2012 : 21 to 27 years
Educational Qualification : Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering from a recognised institution either in India or abroad

5. Name of the post :Assistant Geologist Under Mining & Geology Department
No. of post : 4
Age Limit as on 1.1.2012 : 21 to 27 years
Educational Qualification : Master Degree in Geology or Applied Geology from any recognised University either in India or abroad

6.Name of the post : Drilling Engineer Under Mining & Geology Department
No. of post : 1
Age Limit as on 1.1.2012 : 21 to 27 years
Educational Qualification :
i) Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engg with experience in diamond core drilling, conversant with handling of different type of core drilling and must have done about 200 mts of drilling OR
Bachelor Degree in Science with Geology or Diploma in Mechanical Engg with 5 (five) years experience in core drilling and must have done 300 mts of drilling.

7. Name of the post :Social Studies Instructor Under Labour Department
No. of post : 2
Age Limit as on 1.1.2012 : 18 to 27 years
Educational Qualification :
B.A. with Sociology or Psychology or Social Works as one of the subject from recognized University

8. Name of the post :Labour Inspector Under Labour Department
No. of post : 39
Age Limit as on 1.1.2012 : 18 to 27 years
Educational Qualification :
Must be graduate in Arts/Science or Commerce from any recognized University.

9.Name of the post : Research Assistant Under Economics & Statistics
No. of post : 4
Age Limit as on 1.1.2012 : 18 to 27 years
Educational Qualification : Bachelor Degree with Economics / Mathematics / Statistics / Commerce as one the subjects

Fee : This amount may be paid through MPSC Challan.
For posts at Sl. No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, : Rs. 350/-
For posts at Sl. No. 7, 8, 9 : Rs. 320/-
