Applications are invited in the prescribed form for the post of Registrar of the University of Pune. The post of Registrar is an isolated post.

Name of the post : Registrar
Age : Not less than 45 years of age, unless already in the services of Universities or affiliated colleges/recognized institutions.
Pay Band : Pay Band Rs.37400-67000+A.G.P. 10,000/- with usual allowances as per Government Rules.
Retirement Age : 58 years.

Qualification : A Master's Degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC 7 point scale.
Experience :
i) At least 15 years of teaching experience as Lecturer (Senior scale) or Lecturer with 8 years experience in Reader’s Grade along with experience in Educational Administration OR
ii)Comparable experience in Research establishment and/or other Institutions of Higher Education. OR
iii) 15 years Administrative experience of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post. Relaxation from 55% to 50% may be given only to those candidates who belong to SC/ST category or to the Ph.D. Degree holders who have passed Master Degree prior to 19th September, 1991 or to the existing incumbents who are already in the University system.
iv) The candidate should have proficiency in Marathi, Hindi and English languages. Ph.D. shall be a desirable qualification.

Tenure : This is a tenure appointment for a term of five years and the person shall be eligible for reappointment for only one more term of five years.

Fee : Demand Draft (of Rs.300 /- for open candidates and of Rs.150/- for reserved category candidate) of nationalized bank drawn in favour of the “Registrar, University of Pune” payable at Pune.
