Project : Transformer Differential Protection By Hardware Simulation.
We have used a step-up transformer which is to be protected by differential protection relay during internal fault. Transformer is a costly device and it needs to be protected from faults. There are mainly two kinds of faults 1).Internal Fault
2).External fault.
Internal faults occur in the protector zone of a transformer, generally arising from failure of insulation due to temperature rise or detoriation of transformer oil. For Internal fault protection we use percentage biased differential relay. We have created an internal Fault with the help of a Rheostat in parallel with a protected power transformer.

Our training provided knowledge regarding Transmission and Distribution of electricity in a substation of 33kv/11kv.Also maintenance of sub-station and Power plants. I dealt with many basic problems faced in maintaining proper working of a station, like clearing of line fault, isolation of the faulty part of the line etc.
