Junior Architect

Position : Junior Architect
Experience : 0 - 1 Years
Location : Chennai

Education :
o English as the medium up to Secondary School (XII Standard) Education
o B. Arch from a reputed School

Job Description :
o Perform original design work utilizing specifications, sketches and ideas on developing designs.
o Analyzes space utilization effectiveness and changing demands for space needs recommends actions to meet new requirements.
o Compile data for architectural plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, etc.
o Assists in conducting preliminary studies of proposed projects to obtain information as to space and design requirements, obtaining measurements and making sketches preliminary to the preparation of drawing.
o Assists in preparation of scale drawing of details required for contract drawing.
o Assists in preparation of design development drawings.
o Assists in the preparation of "record" drawings on completion of construction.
o Assists in preparation of layout and draws preliminary sketch of project to present to client.
o Assists in developing and/or coordinating development of detailed working drawings and specifications after approval for project has been obtained.
o Provide support to Architects and management staff.

Work Experience :
o 0-1 years as a practicing architect in a mid sized firm
o 3-6 months experience as an Architect intern in a mid sized firm

Skills :
o Fast learner
o Readily shoulder responsibilities
o Patience with the clients
o Passionate about Details
o Contribute in building the team spirit at SHILPA

Technical Skills :
o AutoCAD, Revit, 3DS Max, Google Sketch up.
o Expertise and exposure to other design and publishing software a plus.
o MS Office.
