(Note 04.10.2012 is the last date for payment of application fee) for recruitment to the following posts of Lecturer in Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya in Class-II Group-B of Odisha Culture Service under Tourism & Culture(Culture) Department in the pay scale of Rs.9300-34,800/- carrying grade pay of Rs.4600 with usual Dearness and other allowances as may be sanctioned by the Government of Odisha from time to time.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION : A candidate should have possessed Master’s Degree in relevant discipline or its equivalent Examination with at least 55% of marks from recognized University/Educational Institution. Provided that candidate in possession of Ph.D. Degree or experience as a performing Artist and teaching experience in a Government or recognized Institution will be given preference.

AGE : A candidate should be under 32(thirty-two) years and over 21(twenty- one) years of age on the 1st January 2012 i.e. he/she must not have born earlier than 2nd January,1980 and not later than 1st January, 1991.

What is the upper age limit for lectureship in Sangeet Mahavidyalaya?

Candidate should be under 32(thirty-two) years and over 21(twenty- one) years of age on the 1st January 2012 i.e. he/she must not have born earlier than 2nd January,1980 and not later than 1st January, 1991. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for candidates belonging to categories of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Socially & Educationally Backward Classes (S.E.B.C), Women, Ex-servicemen and by 10 (ten) years for Physically Handicapped candidates. Provided that in case a candidate who comes under more than one category mentioned above, he/she will be eligible only for one age relaxation benefit, which shall be considered most beneficial to him/her.
Date of birth entered in the High School Certificate or equivalent certificate issued by the concerned Board/Council will only be accepted by the Commission
