    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION : Candidates should posses the following or its equivalent Qualifications on the date of this Notification, viz. 22.08.2012.
    (i) Minimum General Educational Qualification. AND
    (ii) Diploma in Handloom Technology obtained from the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, Salem or Varanasi or from any other recognized Institute of Handloom Technology. OR Diploma in Textile Manufacture obtained from the Technological Diploma Examination Board, Chennai or the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu.

    Explanation :
    Minimum General Educational Qualification means;
    (i) A pass in SSLC Examination with eligibility for admission to college course of studies in the Universities in this State. (11 years course of study). OR
    (ii) A pass in the SSLC Examination of this State (10 years course of Study)

    CENTRE FOR EXAMINATION : Examination will be held at Chennai Centre (Code No. 001) only.

    PROCEDURE OF SELECTION : Selection will be made in two successive stages i.e., (i) Written Examination and (ii) Oral Test.

    i) Online Payment (Net Banking, Credit card/Debit card)
    ii) Offline Payment (Post Office or Indian Bank)

    Hall Ticket : The Hall Tickets for eligible candidates will be made available in the Commission’s Website for downloading by candidates. No Hall Tickets will be sent by post

    3) Select the name of the post or service for which you wish to apply.
    4) If you already have Unique ID, please enter the Unique ID and password to view the already available information and update them, if necessary.
    5) If you do not have valid ID, please enter all the required particulars without skipping any field.
    6) Candidates are required to upload their photograph and signature as per the specifications given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of Photograph and Signature. An online application is incomplete without the photograph and signature upload.
    7) After submitting the application, candidates can print /save their application in PDF format.

    Interview and Record : 40

    Total Marks : 340

    Duration of Examination : 3 Hours

    Minimum Qualifying Marks for Selection :
    SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs and BCMs. : 102
    Others : 136

    Note :
    (i) The question paper in the subject will be set in English only.
