National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), Chennai, a technical arm of the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India, is functioning with broad objectives of promoting technology development in various mission mode activities in Ocean Engineering and Ocean Resource utilisation.

Pay Band& Grade Pay : PB-1–Rs.5,200 – 20,200 + GP1900

Essential Qualification :
1. Pass in (i) X Class (Secondary / Metric) of a recognized board and (ii) ITI course approved by National Council for Vocational Training or equivalent recognized Institutions in the Trades “Fitter” OR “Electrician”
2. Basic knowledge of computer

Job Requirement :
Fitter : General assembly, fitting of mechanical systems related to various projects of NIOT.
Electrician : Electrical wiring in panels, testing of electrical systems, Oceanographic Data Collection in Ocean related to various projects of NIOT.
