Procedure for Availing New Power Supply:
Step 1) Applicant to submit the duly signed PSAF Application form along with the attached documents at the below mentioned address:

Technopolis Knowledge Park,
Ground floor, Mahakali Caves Road,
Andheri (E), Mumbai 400 093

Step 2)Tata Power will conduct site visit and technical feasibility after the submission of duly completed PSAF.

Step 3) Tata Power will issue Proposal Letter after conducting site visit / technical feasibility.

Step 4) Customer has to submit the acceptance of the proposal letter / substation agreement (if applicable) after receipt of proposal letter.

Step 5) Tata Power will commence substation erection and commissioning activity.

Step 6) Customer has to erect the equipments in their scope wherever applicable (ex: HT customers).

Step 7) Customer has to submit individual PSAF for every new connection required.

Step 8)Tata Power will intimate the charges payable by the applicant for every new connection based on Schedule of Charges / Rates as approved by MERC for

Tata Power from time to time. This will include:
a) Application registration and processing charges.
b) Service connection charges.
c) Security Deposit.
d) Any other charges approved by MERC from time to time.

Step 9)Tata Power will initiate the process of provision of power supply / last mile connectivity as per MERC Standard of Performance, Regulations 2005, only after receipt of payment of charges.

Step 10)Kindly refer the List of Compliances (Annexure 4) given overleaf, to be adhered by applicant before energisation.

Step 11)To pay for the said supply at the prevailing tariff rates and also to pay the charges based on the Schedule of Charges / Rates for the individual connections approved by MERC for Tata Power from time to time (Annexure 5)

Who can apply for New Power Supply? What are the documents to be submitted?

Builders / Developers / Owners of new projects can apply for new power supply. Applicant needs to submit Power Supply Request From (PSRF) along with the following documents.
a) Proof of Ownership OR Occupation of premises (copy of any one of the following)
** Purchase/Sale Agreement with Builder / Previous Occupant
** 7/12 Extract or property card issued by competent authority in the name of applicant.
** Leave & License / Leasing Agreement with property owner.

b) Proof of identity (Copy of any one of the following documents)
** Photo Pass (Recognised Organisation Photo Identity Card)
** o Voter's identification Card / PAN Card / Driving License
** Passport.

c) Location Map of site.
d) Plan / Layout
e) Approved Plan of No. of Buildings / Establishments / Wings Proposed.
f) Detailed Power Requirement Load Break for the project (As Per Tata Power Format)
g) No Objection Certificate from MCGM / Directorate of Industries for Industrial Load, if available otherwise to be compulsorily submitted before energisation.
h) No Objection Certificate (as per approved Tata Power Format) from owner of the premises in case applicant is not the owner.
i) Proof of Public Utility, if applicable.

What is the time frame required to get connection?

As per Standard of Performance framed by MERC,
The time period for provision of supply from date of receipt to date of completed application (including submission of substation space agreement if applicable) & payment of charges are given below :
** In case connection is to be from existing network - One (1) Month.
** Where extension/augmentation of distributing main is required - Three (3) Months.
** Where commission of substation is required - One (1) year.

Yes, in license area of Tata Power, which extends from Colaba to Vasai Creek and up to Kanjur Mankhurd.
