INDUCTION OF ITI TRADE APPRENTICES – UNDER APPRENTICES ACT 1961
Cochin Shipyard Limited, a Mini Ratna Company of Government of India, proposes induction of ITI Trade Apprentices for one / two years training as stipulated under the Apprentices Act 1961 in the following trades;

Age : Age 18 to 25 years as on 31 Aug 2012.

Qualification : Pass in SSLC and ITI (NCVT) certificate in the respective trade securing minimum of 60% of marks from a recognised ITI.

Method of Selection : The method of selection will be based on the marks secured in the SSLC examination, ITI marks and a Personal Interview held at Cochin Shipyard Ltd, Kochi.

Stipend : During the one year training period candidates selected as Apprentices will be paid a consolidated monthly stipend of Rs. 3000/- during the first year and 4000/- during the second year as applicable. The above rates will be effective from 01 Oct 2012. No other allowances will be paid during the period of Apprenticeship training.

Agreement : The Selected candidates will have to execute necessary contract to be registered with Regional Directorate of Apprenticeship Training, Chennai, as the case may be, under the Apprentices Act., 1961 as amended from time to time.
