Admission Procedure :
** There will be no entrance examination for admissions.

Candidates will be called for an counselling in the order of merit based on :
The aggregate of total marks secured in the +2 / Higher Secondary Examination for UG / M.Sc. Biotechnology (5 year integrated) programmes.

** The names of the candidates short-listed to attend the interview will be published in www.vit.ac.in

** Candidates short-listed for interview will be informed of the date and time through SMS if mobile number is provided. This information will also be available in the website.

** Selected Candidates should pay a deposit of 10,000 as an advance at the time of the interview. This amount will be adjusted against their first year fee.

** The amount should be paid by means of Demand Draft drawn in favour of “VIT University”, payable at Vellore (only computerized DD will be accepted).

** Candidates who fail to pay the advance at the time of interview will not be considered for admission.

Eligibility :
Nationality :
The applicant for admission should be a Resident Indian National and should have graduated from Institutions located in India.

Eligibility Criteria :
** Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full time and Formal Education are alone eligible to apply.
** Candidates should have secured an aggregate of 60% and above in their +2 examination to be eligible to apply.
** Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1992 are eligible to apply.

The aggregate marks obtained in the subjects in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 50% for the following categories :
** Candidates belonging to SC/ST
** Candidates hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
