I got this email address while online searching.
I am physically handicapped person with left hemipelgia. I am suffering from brain tumor since 2001 (cystic glioma, solid part cannot be rooted out because deep inside) which affected my left side(able to walk with slight difficulty, left hand nonworking). also I am facing slight negligible memory issues.
I have done my graduation from SPCE Andhei in May 2009 in BE Computers. Immediate after completing my graduation I had tried a job search,during which many companies rejected me on health ground and disability.
In 2010 I had managed to get job of java software engineer in Synergy Allied Infomatics in Mumbai, very small company which is doing software development as side business, But last year they decided to get shifted to Nagpur. After that I had joined Core Education and Technologies Pvt Ltd as a Trainee Software Engineer where I have worked on various technologies, but it was a contract job and contract terminated sooner just in 7 months.
Until now I was taking job on whatever technology available and whoever offering me to work so no concrete resume. I had given many years for treatment so late graduation as well affected my score. Being experienced companies call me for interview but i could not clear many because of memory issues. Wherever I have cleared all rounds they have common concerns like
1) You are jumping on different technologies.
2) Your experience is very less as compared to age.
3) Your score is less.
I have explained reasons to all these,never hid health and physically problems from interviewer, but none of them are convinced they probably considered as excuse. In fact I feel in some companies where my performance above good in interview they kept me in option.I was expecting final HR round but they did not called up me so I called but response was like all vacancies are filled, sorry your resume was not shortlisted for final round.
It is not working for me this way. I am finding myself in bottleneck competition where people like me don't have any value. I am eagerly looking for job because I am overdependent on my parents. I have decided to go through consultants for disables, because normally we cant put forward our problems to HR directly, cant mention issues in resume.
My performance in both of companies was very good, really good positive response can be obtained from both companies as well as from my seniors there under whom I have worked. I am eligible for job in software industry but just a lack of opportunity which holding me back.
Now probably I am trying to get job as java developer if possible because I feel probably concrete resume can provide better opportunity in future, after my last job I have attended more than 15 local companies in Mumbai but no luck yet.
Sorry to shoot you with these many problem and also sorry for being over ambitious . Thanks for showing patience to read my post.
