Pursued my project on “Synthesis and screening of new 3-phenyl-[1,3,4]oxadiazino[6,5-b]indoles” Under the guidance of Dr. Bethi Srinivas M.Pharm., Ph.D. at Talla Padmavathi College of Pharmacy, Orus, Kareemabad, Warangal.
Ten different 3-phenyl-[1,3,4]oxadiazino[6,5-b]indoles were synthesized by cyclization of N'-(2-oxo-1,2-dihydro-3H-indole-3-ylidene)benzohydrazide. N'-(2-oxo-1,2-dihydro-3H-indole-3-ylidene)benzohydrazide was prepared by the condensation of para substituted benzohydrazides with isatin and 5-chloroisatin. The structures of all compounds were confirmed by IR, H1 NMR, and MASS spectral analysis. All the synthesized compounds were evaluated for their antibacterial, antifungal (cup plate method) and anti inflammatory (rat hind paw edema method) activities.
