B.Tech/B.E. Lateral Entry (Session 2012)

On-Line /Hard copies of Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to B.Tech/B.E. Programme through Lateral Entry to 3rd Semester in the following disciplines and Campuses/Colleges;

1. B.Tech. in
a) Electronics & Communication Engineering at Department of Electronics, Main Campus, Hazratbal, Srinagar.
b) Computer Science & Engineering at North Campus, Delina, Baramulla;

2. B.E. in
a) Civil Engineering ;
b) Electronics & Communication Engineering;
c) Computer Science Engineering;
d) Mechanical Engineering
at SSM College of Engineering and Technology, Pattan, Baramulla

Eligibility :
The candidates should have passed the Diploma from State Board of Technical Education or from a recognized University/Board in the same branch of Engineering wherein he/she is seeking admission or B.Sc. graduates with Mathematics as one of the subject from a recognized University, with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.

Admission Criteria :
The admission will be made on the basis of Entrance Test comprising of Objective Type Questions, to be conducted by the University. Syllabus of the Entrance Test is available on the website.

Fee :
Deposit the Entrance Test Fee of Rs. 500/- (plus Rs. 10/- Bank charges) against the Pay-in-Slip generated with the Application Form in any of the branches of the J&K Bank Ltd. across the Country.

How to Apply :
i) Apply Online only
ii) The candidates after submitting their On-Line Application Forms must submit the downloaded Form (hard copy) at office of the
Dean Academic Affairs,
University of Kashmir,
Srinagar
by or before July 31, 2012 with the following documents.
i) Marks Certificate/s of the examinations passed
ii) State Subject Certificate
iii) NOC from the employer, in case employed in Government or any other Department/ Institution

Submission of Online/downloaded Application Form (Hard copy) :
Step-1 : Visit kashmiruniversity.net and click on Link Admissions 2012 and then on On-Line Application Form.
Step-2 : Enter Registration No. and Click Search (if already registered with University of Kashmir particular/exams. passed will appear from database). Otherwise enter all details yourself and upload your latest passport size photograph with specimen signature at the bottom of the photograph.
Step-3 : Select the desired Programmes and Campus/College Preferences
Step-4 : Preview the Form displayed on the screen. If details are correct, click on Submit. If there is any variation go to Edit, make corrections/addition and then Submit. Get a printout of the Form and note the ID for future reference.
Step-5 : Deposit the Entrance Test Fee of Rs. 500/- (plus Rs. 10/- Bank charges) against the Pay-in-Slip generated with the Application Form in any of the branches of the J&K Bank Ltd. across the Country.
