The Centre invites applications from highly qualified and motivated candidates for taking up R&D activities and also for providing engineering services to solve the problems of the industry and the society besides participating in the development of laboratory facilities.

Name of the post :TECHNICAL ASSISTANT

Pay : Rs.9300 + Grade Pay of Rs.4200 in the Pay Band PB-2 Rs.9300-34800
AGE : Not exceeding 33 years on the last date for receipt of applications.
Minimum Educational Qualification and Experience : 10+2 with Science subjects followed by 1st class Diploma in Mechanical Engineering of 3 years full time duration (2/2.5 years full time duration in cases of lateral admission after 10+2, if applicable) or its equivalent.
Job Requirements : The selected candidate will be required to assist the Scientists of the Centre in planning, preparing experimental set-ups, operation and maintenance of all mechanical equipments including UTM, hydraulic actuators, EOT cranes, sophisticated machineries, etc.

Job Requirements :
** To prepare estimation, detailing quantities from drawings, measurement, Measurement Book writing, Tender preparation, knowledge of BIS codal provisions for design and construction, supervision of on-going civil engineering works.
** Knowledge of relevant engineering software such as AUTOCAD and software on estimating & costing for civil works etc.
Desirable :
To assist SE / EE for civil engineering works activities, building maintenance, etc.
