Special Recruitment Drive for Persons with Disability Quota

In order to fill-up the quota for recruitment of the Persons with Disability in Eastern Railway, it has been decided to conduct a special Recruitment Drive (SRD) for Persons with Disabilities by the Eastern Railway, Personnel Department as per details in the table given below. Applications in the format in employment notice hereunder are invited from the Persons with Disabilities only from amongst (i) Blind / Low vision (ii) Hearing Handicapped (iii) Loco Motor Disabled or Cerebral Palsy.

Minimum Educational Qualification required : Degree in Law from the recognised University with 03 years standing practice as a pleader at Bar. Serving employees who are Law Graduates may also be allowed to apply for these posts provided they have served for at least 5 years in any branch of the Railway Administration. The Railway Magistrates who are desirious of applying for such posts and who also fulfill the prescribed qualification for direct recruitment.

Mode of selection :
Written Test followed by verification of documents. The question papers for the written test shall be consisting of multiple choice, objective type questions aimed to assess General Knowledge / Awareness, Mathematics, Reasoning and professional subject etc. There will be no question of checking proficiency in languages. Question will be in BENGALI, HINDI, URDU & ENGLISH.

Age limit : (As on 1st Jan., 2013)
For UR candidate : 18 yrs to 40 yrs.
For OBC candidates : 18 yrs to 43 yrs.
For SC/ST candidates : 18 yrs to 45 yrs.

FEE : NO EXAMINATION FEE
